The answer is simple. In a year from now, he’ll be running full steam trying to get re-elected. There will be no tariffs then either. He doesn’t want to come across or be branded as a “racist” during an election. He has hopes to carry AZ and NV.

Congress needs to get off its ass:
End chain migration, and favor merit.
End asylum loophole.
Enforce all existing immigration laws.
Mandatory eVerify.
End diversity VISA lottery.
End all social programs for illegals.
Deport VISA overstayers.
Prosecute sanctuary city/state officials.
Build the damned wall.
Trump and his team should be out doing PR and explaining what our country went through with rationing during WWII and relate it to the emergence we face today from the alien invasion and the people in congress who support it.
The dems want a social civil war, let's give it to them. Let's educate the public, many of who still have no idea how serious this is.

Exactly.
As always, Trump operates on multiple levels simultaneously. This gives the media something to run in circles about while he works on other things. Those with no strategic thinking skill fall for it every time.
He’s not carrying either state. And he’s not carrying Florida. And there’s a chance he may not carry Texas or Georgia, either.
We had our chance. The Chamber of Commerce played chicken with him and he blinked.
It’s going to come down to some hard choices, very soon. It’ll have to be a Governor, somewhere, that says enough and have the people of that state rally around to protect, whoever that might be.
I also suspect the China trade negotiations are playing a major role in this whole thing. I would not be surprised to see major automakers closing plants in Mexico and opening new ones in China soon.
