I have read quite a bit about his life and, you are right, he was very abused. LaToya has been pretty vocal about the abuse in the family. Joe was a monster and the mother was a sick accomplice. I read in one of LaToya’s accounts that Joe molested his own daughters and beat his sons, especially Michael.
Abuse like that messes with minds, especially the naturally weak ones. It twists them up. Abuse is at the heart of most cases of same sex attraction because, when a person reaches sexual maturity, if they are unable to process the abuse correctly, it warps their libido and their view of themselves as sexual creatures and cause them to have inappropriate stimulus responses.
They can also be “stuck in time” at the point when the abuse occurred. Freud called this arrested development. While “experts” (read homosexualists) have tried to discredit Freud in this because it doesn’t fit their desired goal to completely normalize homosexual behavior, I believe it is entirely true. It is behind the childlike behavior that Michael exhibited his whole life.
I could see this years ago, even before the allegations and court case surfaced and knew that sexually deviant behavior was almost a certainty.
Although his mind was stuck in that state of immaturity, his sexual desire was not. Tragically, the parents of the, now men, in the documentary were lured in by the childlike behavior of Jackson and stupidly ignored the reality of his full grown, if warped, sex drive. That allowed the predictor in him easy access to the prey. What happened beyond that is classic sexual predator behavior.
Michael was an intelligent man. The works I have read by him are thoughtful and seem to give lie to the reality of his mental illness. He was also extremely talented. And he was very very tormented. I saw his plastic surgery as a way of letting the pitiful monster he saw within, show on the outside.
His tortured beginnings were not his fault. He was a victim of abuse. In the later years, though, the abuse he perpetrated was most definitely his fault. He was protected and shielded from blame because of his notoriety and talent. He was enabled. He should have been shunned and encouraged to seek help. There are quite a few factors that contribute, all of them bad.
I blame the parents of the victims for being dazzled by his celebrity and wooed to expose their children to this dark side. They should have seen it coming. They were selfish. Their kids have paid the price.
The point of my comment.
The point of my comment.
I hope so; since I can come across as quite offensive at times.
It is called MOLESTING if one of the participants is much older than the other.
It’s called Playing Doctor if their ages are similar.
What is your point?
Simple.
We should all think back to OUR first sexual experiences with another.
I'll bet very few were begun on their wedding night!
