The name tape across the front of the helmet was stupid. Taking a ride in a tank, while having a long history of opposing military modernization, was even stupider. Mugging for the camera completed the idiocy.

Howie Carr,long time Boston columnist and talk show host,mentions Dukakis from time to time.Regarding the famous tank photo he had a call in poll on his radio show once regarding the best caption for that photo.

The last time I heard anything from Michael Dukakis was in an interview several years back when he talked about he liked to collect turkey carcasses from friends and family during the holidays to make soup. That is probably one of the more useful things he has done.
