Exclusive: Kellyanne Conway defends Trump after he attacks her husband
Politico ^ | 03/20/2019 | DANIEL LIPPMAN

“He left it alone for months out of respect for me,” Conway, a senior Trump aide, told POLITICO in a brief telephone interview. “But you think he shouldn’t respond when somebody, a non-medical professional accuses him of having a mental disorder? You think he should just take that sitting down?”

Not fighting back worked very well for GW bush it can work very well for President Trump in this situation too.

***************

I agree with your first point. But as for the second, it didn’t work out so well for GWB. He became a punching bag for his critics. He was too passive in my opinion.

For those who think Trump shouldn’t tweet about Mr. Kellyanne Conway’s attacks.
*********
Trump has fought the good fight against this fool. Now he needs to get back to letting Americans know how to make this country great again.

No, the OFFICE, not the individual.

Good Presidents come and go, bad Presidents come and go.

Well said - I wish I put it that way.

Would have prevented several somewhat angry responses!

Face it, some people here have short memories. But some of us can’t forget how Clinton turned the Oval Office into a massage parlor. What has Mr. Trump done to compare with that? Nothing! He is always photographed in suit and tie, immaculately turned out, openly taking on the press in true democratic fashion.

Some people just can’t handle that.

I think if it were real, PDJT would have convinced Kellyanne to step down by now.

Also, her response was kinda weak, implying that what her husband said would have more credibility if he were a professional in a profession that does more good than harm.

KAC is Catholic. I don’t get how people can’t understand that.

-

Fine. So if she wants to use her religion as some kind of silly justification to stay with an obnoxious jerk she should at least have the integrity to defuse the situation and quit her job - otherwise she’s GIVING the press a reason to continue to report on every insult that pig husband of hers throws at President Trump by virtue of the fact that she works for him.

She seems to want her cake and eat it, too.

“get back to”

Come on, the tweets took about two minutes!

Trump isn’t our slave.

Oh yesssss the first woman in American history to have run a successful U.S. presidential campaign against all odds. Yep you’d have to be pretty weak to do that.....ROFLMAO!!!!!

I don’t think she allows herself to be a victim of her stupid husbands verbal abuse and I wouldn’t want to be him if he ever got physical. If her idiot husband can’t keep his mouth shut, I don’t think she cares what POTUS says about it.

That happens daily on FR. l People who have to say “I support Trump but...” and then go ont to question his judgement, timing, tweets, terminology, actions or inactions, and so on are not Trump supporters, they are passive-aggressive dopes.

If Kellyanne wants to end her marriage she will, without any help from FReepers.

And let’s knock off the use of the word “cuck”. Cuckold is defined as “a man whose wife is sexually unfaithful” and while I understand it is derogatory toward the man in question, it is grossly unfair to Kellyanne to insinuate that she is unfaithful just because she expresses support for her boss.

Yeah I know about the modern usage of the word, but “words have meanings”.

“This is unbecoming of the President of the United States.”

Why is this unbecoming of the President? Trump standing by a highly valued employee is an honorable thing to do as far as I’m concerned. It’s KAC’s husband who is unbecoming. Needs to have his @$$ kicked if you ask me.

Thanks for this reality check!

We have bemoaned for decades that the Right doesn’t defend itself. That they roll over and take the baseless accusations, time after time.

Now, when we are fighting: this is unbecoming.

Take a flipping hike.

Have you noticed these horrible "beneath the decorum of the office" distractions never last very long with Trump?? This one will spin out in a day or two at the most.

This is what flooding the zone means. It's what is going on behind the flood that matters, and that is where Trump has is exactly right. Trump is by far the best president I've voted for and that includes Reagan. I wouldn't change a thing about him!

Right or wrong, KAC either shuts him up or resigns the position.

Best case may be Trump is sitting on her resignation and has her functions and access compartmentalized for OPSEC.

KAC most likely isn't going to shut "him" up and if we understand her as well as we think we do, she voluntarily tendered her resignation with the first criticism.

If so, the ball is where it ought to be and her value/skill set is in play. ( = .02 cents +/-)

Yes.

It’s pretty weird to attack Trump when the true root cause is Mr. Kellyanne Conway.

Why is it people can’t identify root causes? Why attack something other than the true root cause?

“Some of us have higher standards.”

Really full of it aren’t you?

Take your higher standards and go to DU where you and your standards will fit right in.

Where are you Lalaland?

You were the one projecting butt hurt over the distraction this was causing you. You called for one of the most successful women in this country to quit her job because her dickwad husband won’t shut his mouth.

Not offended in the least. Wouldn’t be here if I were easily offended. You should go enjoy your spring and not let her husband’s idiocy distract you so much.
