He is still living at home. He is comfortable, eats well, sleeps well but had issues with balance and with his memory. He has Pick disease. His frontal lobe is shrinking. The more active he stays the better it holds up. The mind is an amazing thing.

He is and has always been a great man and father.

We are very close. I’m the relief valve when needed to fill skips in the help schedule.

Thank you for asking about him.

I heard Biden say today he wants regime change in Syria...Assad out. Needs to keep his mouth shut on Syria. Let the operating parties work it out.

Biden is a plug horse and a dumb one.

Not sure how that is going to work out. Hopefully Turkey and Iran will get the brunt of the coming collision.

US diplomats and officers of all ranks who have worked with him for the past four and a half years are full of praise for Kobane, whose nom de guerre was Sahin Cilo when he was a militant in the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

So the SDF leader Kobane has a background in the PKK...no wonder Erdogan calls the SDF terrorists and chastises the United States for working with them.

No, he did not admit to that. He did know Apo. Remember, the PKK were in Syria for a long time, over 10 years if I remember correctly.

Look we have our differences. But no sane person can defend the actions of Erdogan. It is impossible.

The PKK is NOT the SDF.

In my opinion, the PKK should be and will probably soon be delisted as a terrorist group.

Some here on FR were involved in his capture. We have discussed that. I think their opinion has changed on that. Not totally, but partially.

Amberin stated what you quoted. Not the SDF Commander. He denied it outright.

And Amberin’s husband works for the US State Department.

Will not go into that now. It is really not that important.

But Amberin is not always 100% accurate, I’ve heard frustration vented about that. She is much better than most analysts. But in this case the accurate part is from the interview, not what she said in the intro.

Well we know neither Iran nor Erdogan give two hoots about the people in Syria and never have nor will.

As for Biden...he’s a fools fool at best.

Iranian and Russian Foreign Ministers discussed the situation in Venezuela on ways to help resolve the political crisis there. So Iran and Russia are sticking their noses everywhere these days....

Yes, this has been going on a long time, just not on US news radars.

No, Erdogan want all the Syrians displaced and for him to choose which of the Jihadi’s he wants to plant there so he can rule the world. Headshake.

He has some Middle East neighbors who have no use for his arrogance and contempt either.

At some point it will be conflict time.

Amberin stated what you quoted. Not the SDF Commander. He denied it outright.

From the article:

Kobane is from the Syrian border town of Kobani, where imprisoned PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan fled to from Turkey in 1979. Ocalan was Kobane's early mentor, and a photo posted online of the pair, bathing together in the Euphrates River, is viewed as proof of their closeness.

Kobane can deny it, but the evidence of his close association with PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan seems irrefutable and this evidence predates the CIA instigated war in Syria by a wide margin.

Whose bright idea was it to put a known PKK member and someone on Turkey's terrorist watch-list in charge of SDF forces anyhow? More evidence of Western regime change malfeasance.

You can think whatever you like.

I’m very familiar with Amberin’s writing. Her husband is US State Dept. employee for a long time. She wrote from Turkey, but not since the faux Coup.

She writes well, but is not actually in the region.

The SDF Commander is well know by our military. He says he was not PKK. He admits he knew Apo well.

Turkey applies terrorist label to many who have zero connection.

Like it or not, I think that we are close to having the EU nations delist PKK. Possibly the US too. The coalition is not aligned with Erdooo.

PKK are not like ISIS. But there are still idiots in the region beating the stupid Che’ drum. Headshake. They are not the norm.

You and I will always be on opposite sides of a divide. I have no dog in the fight there but have trusted personal friends who are there.
