The U.S. will withdraw all remaining personnel from @usembassyve this week. This decision reflects the deteriorating situation in #Venezuela as well as the conclusion that the presence of U.S. diplomatic staff at the embassy has become a constraint on U.S. policy.
Why bother? Just to show the world it’s bad there. It would be like Bush being nice to the lefties out there. Lotta good it did him.
latest:
1) looting is becoming widespread
2) the government has cancelled schools and business until at least Weds.
3) the US backed president has called for a protest tomorrow at 3pm
4) Maduro has given the green light this evening for his thugs to “take action”
5) reports are journalists have gone missing
6) lack of clean water is becoming a problem
7) still no power for much of the country, some are people get power back for a short while before it goes out again
Well they certainly can’t function or live in these blackouts without basic water, food, electricity and communications all down in Venezuela..
BTW the first thing nations do before war is withdraw their Embassies....we should watch if others follow suite...though with the blackout continuing they may just the same.
This may mean Total collapse is imminent.
these words are interesting.....
On national television tonight Maduro issued public invitation to armed paramilitary gangs in Venezuela to take action:.... the time for active resistance has arrived
I think the bovine excrement is about to intercept the oscillating air mover.
Yup. As in, POTUS may decide this is a national security threat - and have our “persuaders” do something about it.
Ping.
“BTW the first thing nations do before war is withdraw their Embassies”
indeed:
” the presence of U.S. diplomatic staff at the embassy has become a constraint on U.S. policy.”
Doubt there will be war. Like Liberals here in the US, the socialists in Venezuela simply can’t just admit they’re wrong, that they’ve failed. About anything. Ever. The Venezuelans are quickly realizing, however, that actual reality is here. And it sucks. They have no appetite for war.
Juan Guaido said on Sunday that he will ‘ask the National Assembly’ to declare a “state of emergency” in Venezuela. ..declaring a state of emergency was ‘necessary to request international aid’....
The National Assembly, which is controlled by the opposition, said they would an emergency session on Monday over the issue.
The European Union-backed International Contact Group is set to convene at the end of March to find a peaceful solution to the power struggle in Venezuela. Chances of success are difficult to predict
Pompeo is who stated the presence of U.S. diplomatic staff at the embassy has become a constraint on U.S. policy. Though that’s pretty vague.
That will preempt the embassy seizure by Maduro's terrorist thugs.
Well I’m not convinced we should do much more than assist the people to do what needs to be done. But I understand the Army is or has turned against muduro..... which is why mudoro’s calling on the gangs to fight as of tonight.
There’s going to be blood either or.....dictators never go out without it.
