Republican. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky revealed this week that there are at least 10 Senate Republicans who will betray President Donald Trump and vote against his national emergency declaration.
While speaking at the Southern Kentucky Lincoln Day Dinner late Saturday, Paul said that he couldnt vote to give extra-constitutional powers to the president.

Not a reason not to primary
Article 4 gives the President authority. How is your vote giving him more? Another question: if this isn’t a national emergency related to voting, public services, and labor then what is?
Rand Paul opposes the emergency declaration? Did he oppose any of Obama’s? You would think someone who was a victim of the looney left, would understand our need now to stand behind the POTUS?
Its time to raise money for elections 2020...and MAGA is starting to hurt the transnational monopolists that have become used to having their way in DC for decades.
Truth be told, I do believe McConnell really doesn’t want to do this. But ...silver or lead...he’d like to make to election day 2020
Reagan used the same excuse for signing cr@p budgets.
Going skiing in Utah next week. Anybody know where I can get a “Mitt sux” cap or t-shirt
Trump need to declare a national emergency and abolish the Gop.
What a bunch of Pu-— on the take
I like Rand Paul, though I don’t always agree with him. In his defense, I’m thinking he voted against Obama on many things, unlike most Rinos, who were dogs who didn’t need to be whipped into going along with whatever Zer0 and the democrats threw down. He votes his conscience; most in Congress don’t HAVE one.

The fact that they are even considering it is damning enough. Hopefully they will redeem themselves of they decide to vote with the President. But I was just providing the list of the 10 who are possibly going to vote against it.
Had we spent energy going after the Koch brothers (as one example), rather than hopelessly trying to oust the open border, puppet politicians they support, we’d probably be in a better place.
Rand Paul: "To me, it isn't even about immigration, it isn't about a Republican or Democratic president. It's about congress versus the president and where the power should be distributed."
NY Post headline today: "Breaking point: 76,103 crossed border illegally in February alone."
Senators, get your brains together with your eyes. This is about immigration, not Constitutional quibbles.
I give up on the STUPID Party!
“Rand Paul: “To me, it isn’t even about immigration, it isn’t about a Republican or Democratic president. It’s about congress versus the president and where the power should be distributed.”
No, this isn’t about immigration, Paul. It’s a mass invasion by foreign nationals. And the President is the commander in chief tasked with ensuring our national security and enforcing our laws—Not you, dipsh!t.
They’re not stupid, they are the COMPLICIT party.
These are throwaway votes. It’s done all the time. It gives cover to those running for reelection. Trump vetoes the bill and during the override vote, they will sit out until called for. Then they will vote with Trump.
ending their political careers. I have lost all respect for Rand Paul, who is too stupid to realize that there is a real crises at the Southern border.
