He’s a lost cause, and will soon be joining the leftist judges in 5-4 decisions on high profile cases, not mere procedural matters.

There will never be a genuine conservative Supreme Court. If President Trump manages to win re-election and the GOP manages to hold the Senate then maybe we’ll get to replace Ginsburg with a conservative, but if that happens then the temptation of being the hero to the elite class will fall to Kavenaugh and Gorsuch.

Why can't the Republicans blackmail him too?

I was thinking of his ADOPTED children that he got from SOMEWHER OTHER THAN IRELAND....wink....wink.

That seems to be the agreed upon rumor. That Roberts was blackmailed because he improperly adopted his children.

However, I don't completely buy that. So here you are, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, and two Obama goons make an appointment to see you in your chambers.

After niceties and small talk, the two Obama goons inform you, in a not so subtle way, that they know you didn't go through all the proper adoption procedures, and those adorable little kids can be "snatched away" from you and your wife.

Really?

If that happened, and I was Roberts, I would have called security, and made immediate phone calls to the media saying I was available for exclusive interviews.

When the cameras showed up, I would have told all, right there and then, to the American people. Obama, his goons, and his entire Administration would have collapsed. Overnight. The support and admiration for Roberts would have been such that this country would have elected him emperor had he wanted the title.

No, it had to be something much more dark and sinister. Photos and videos, of Roberts, in "compromising" situations. With young men, or whoever. Bribes. Crimes, committed by Roberts, or something else.

Or, that Roberts really is such a flaming liberal/homosexual/atheist/Communist himself, and kept the reality hidden until he was firmly ensconced in the Chief Justice seat - for life.

Find out how Roberts is being blackmailed, and expose it already... get him to resign. He’s worse than worthless.

“You messed up yet again, W.”

I’m convinced W did not mess up. He fully intended to put “moderates” not conservatives on the court. The nonentity Harriet Miers was his other choice. He only ended up nominating Alito because enough GOP conservatives in Congress opposed her nomination. Had Bush been successful in getting Miers on the SC, we would have Roberts, Miers, Kagan, Sotomayor, Breyer, and Ginsberg as a majority of 6.

History shows Supreme Court justices never move right as they age. Conservative judges either hold to their convictions (Scalia and Thomas) or evolve moving left (Kennedy). Moderates (Souter, Blackman, Powell) always move left.

If he is indeed being blackmailed, the blackmail threats also include what will happen to him if he steps down. Use of no value to them off the court.

I was holding out for Roberts to when his adopted children became legal adults. Nope, he’s now worse than ever. Shouldn’t have wasted my time with him.

If Roberts is being blackmailed (perhaps because of his illegally adopted son) he should step down since he can’t do his job properly anymore.

If Roberts is being blackmailed on his votes then he is probably also being blackmailed NOT to step down.

Kavanaugh’s old stories of jerkish behavior probably were a hint he can’t be trusted. But because they involved sex, they made both sides nuts, calling him a stone cold rapist or defending him like a catholic choir boy. He was neither but clearly he had a deep mean streak to do what he did to the one witness to the Clinton Foster murder. He didn’t belong on the Supreme Court.

Politics makes people on both sides into cultists. Ya get what ya get, every time you focus on your emotions rather than logic. Indignance is not a good emotion to choose a Supreme Court Justice from.
