Somewhere I read that Breitbart News is keeping a log of fake “hate crimes” since Trump became president and has over a hundred entries already - apparently the only such crimes that can actually be documented are those against people wearing MAGA hats......
Makes you wonder what these folks are trying to accomplish by doing that. Fifteen minutes of fame, start a race war or foment a revolution?

It’s been going on for decades.
My first recollection of a fairly high profile case was in Iowa City, Iowa probably in the late 1980s or early 1990s. A black guy claimed someone spray painted swastikas and the usual on his Mercedes. For those that don’t know, Iowa City is practically Berkely with Corn, politically. Anyway, the police investigated and the story started to fall apart. Then they found he had been shopping for a new paint job a couple weeks earlier. He confessed it was all made up on his part.
There is some weird.neurotic reaction whenever this kind of thing happens. Everybody (the usual suspects anyway) sort of wants this kind of thing to happen. It provides validation to their worldview. They can have a candlelight vigil on the campus mall, the university president can intone about a “climate of hate” and make suitable denouncements, and the usual general wailing and gnashing of teeth. I rather half way suspect these things are offered for extra credit to the students. Nothing else really makes sense, and they are fairly common.
The universities have managed to churn out a dependably psychotic mob, ready to meltdown at the slightest offense, real or imagined.

So where are the hate crimes indictments against fake racial hate crimes perps?
These hoaxes are prima facie racial hate crimes.
Update: I didn’t include it above but the Covington Catholic story pretty much fits this list too. Nathan Phillips’ account of what happened was that this was a racist mob about to enact a hate crime. either against him or the Black Hebrew Israelites. In fact, most of what he said about the incident was a lie. His group and the Black Hebrews were the aggressors, not the other way around.
