How can this happen? How can a person abandon a newborn baby on a road?

God help US.

So glad the poor little muffin is ok. I guess this was better than seeking help from Planned Parenthood.

Poor mother. The every so enlightened Leftist government in California hadn’t made this legal yet.

If only she lived in New York.

So glad the girl made it.

Something tells me California’s judicial system isn’t going to look favorably on this.

Officers are crediting the newspaper carrier for being alert. He rushed the baby to his car to warm her up.

Infanticide by exposure was a common practice in times before Christianity.

It was practiced extensively by the Romans.

One of the reasons Christianity conquered Rome was because Jews and Christians valued children and cared for them. Many abandoned infants were raised to be Christians.

The Roman Cities did not produce enough live children to maintain the population.

“God help US.”

I think God did help that beautiful child.

Most of what we do in life, and worry about, doesn’t matter really. However, having a child is the greatest gift, and responsibility, any of us can ever have.

I guess if they’re not anchor babies, what good are they? The governor of Virginia would know what to do.

In CA. you can leave a baby at ANY fire station OR police station on the door step NO QUESTIONS will ever be asked!!! There would be no reason at all in Ca. to abandon a baby on a road somewhere!!!

I know this is California, but I wonder if covering her with a blanket before leaving her on a road would satisfy Virginia’s requirement that the baby be made comfortable before death?

Oh, I’m sorry. If it is born but left to die, is it a baby or is it still just a clump of cells? I haven’t gotten the latest Planned Parenthood guidelines.

I understand post part-um depression.

But every community has someone who will accept a baby without question. Hospitals all have done that.

Desperation? I don't know.

“Gov. Northam sanctioned this Fourth trimester abortion”

I was going to say that the baby’s very lucky Governor Northam or that Tran babe didn’t stumble upon her first.
