A Houston police officer has been relieved of duty in light of "ongoing questions" stemming from a botched drug raid that left a couple dead and five officers wounded, police said Thursday. It's not clear what role the officer played in the Jan. 28 bust at 7815 Harding, but law enforcement sources said his suspension comes amid a probe into questions over whether the sworn affidavit used to justify the no-knock warrant may have contained false information.

Full report will not be released for several days/weeks according to Houston Police Chief. Possibly there was something to the Chief stating the address of the raid incorrectly a couple times during the aftermath of the police raid...
“Whoopsie!”
This Houston case was a drug-raid-gone-wrong, but it could set a pattern in states with gun confiscation “red flag” laws.
This entire episode stinks to high heaven. In before the imminent arrival of the boot-licking leather worshippers even if the cops are in the wrong.
But if it's 1 and 8, we have a problem, Houston.
ZERO video from the whole entry team?
Ridiculous:
Go-Pro knock-offs now go for $30; they’re smaller than a pack of cards.
Got address wrong
Mistaken for home invaders
Couple killed
No drugs
YIKES
Deleted all video footage —> CRIMINAL ACT
Odd.
Maybe he lied to the judge to get the warrant?
Maybe he got the wrong address and now two people are dead?.........................
Ping
It may have bee a West Vs East situation, or N Vs S...............
Like 1234 East Elm Avenue Vs 1234 West Elm Avenue....................
Its is job that has to get done. And done by tough, aggressive cops. But they HAVE to be 100% right. I think in some cases the love of adrenaline and power trumps common sense.
As mentioned on other threads. Why couldn't the culprits been taken down outside the house, at another venue? No knock raids are inherently dangerous for ALL involved. That should be last resort IMO...
At a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee dedicated to gun policy, Acevedo declared, Gun violence is arguably one of the greatest public health epidemics facing the nation everyone in this room loves and serves."
Chiefs of police and sheriffs join the victims in asking you to act now to prevent one more death and bloodshed," he said.

Seems to me Chief your officers actions are the problem and the citizens were just using their 2nd Amendment right to defend themselves from a tyrannical government. So clean up your house before ask us to clean up ours!
If it is found that this cop lied to the judge to get the warrant, he should be prosecuted for capital murder...........................
“no-knock warrant”
Whoever came up with that concept and signed off on it needs to be permanently removed from all law authority, at the very least.
I saw that, but I don’t think it was the problem.
I think the cop lied and told the judge there was a huge heroin ring at this house and this was his big ticket to a huge promotion.........................
All THEY do is txt in abrev.
Wrong address? Luckily no one was killed....oh wait.
Cops have made that type of mistake in other cities, wrong house busted down doors......................
I hope you’re kidding. Two people were shot in their home.
I commented on whatever facts may have been prevelant in the warrent request, not the right or wrong of the deaths
