WASHINGTON — A divided Supreme Court stopped Louisiana from enforcing new regulations on abortion clinics in a test of the conservative court’s views on abortion rights.

The justices said by a 5-4 vote late Thursday that they will not allow the state to put into effect a law that requires abortion providers to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals.

Well, that’s the point that needs to be made. In any ruling now at this point where the vote is allegedly 5-4 and where RBG is said to have voted with the 5, the losing side simply needs to say that they will not abide by the decision. In this case, the state should tell the SCOTUS to take a hike; that they will not abide by a ruling until it is proven that 5 justices actually voted for it.

A clerk may write an opinion for a justice. A clerk may not cast a vote.

What’s the SCOTUS going to do? How many divisions does the Court have to enforce such a ruling?

The Party has been dead to me since 1996. I’m still registered as a Republican, and I vote for them to avoid others, but I am not a happy camper with our leadership. I get solicitation from the RNC all the time, and I blister them in the prepaid envelopes.

I've actually sent them monopoly money and written on the backs 'I'll make this real when you get real leadership.'

Yet another signal that Roberts is a Never-Trumper big time.

Should articles of Impeachment leave the House, he would be the judge in a Senate Trial. Just saying if.

Turned out to be the parting shot from bush to stick it to conservatives long after he was gone.

Meanwhile, bravo to Kavanaugh, in whom I now have much greater faith!

Not to be a Buzz Killer but his vote didn't really matter. These guys play the same game that our congress critters do.

I have a new theory on how Roberts is compromised. most here know the story about how justice Roberts has been b blackmailed by the left because he illegally adopted two children 18 years ago. the story is that the adoption is illegal because the children actualy were born in Ireland and that the mothers illegally transported the children too brazil to be adopted by justice Roberts family. justice Roberts then was blackmailed into protecting key legislation by Obbama and hillery who would have the Irish government bring fourth a claim on the children that could not be blocked in the courts because of treaty.

As of December the oldest child turned 18 and in two more months the younger child will turn 18. at this point the children are no longer in danger of the Irish government making a claim to them because one is legaly a adult and the other is almost an adult so in theory the justice now should be his own man.

My new theory is that the situation that led two Roberts adopting the children is a lot darker and the rumor on the internet of Irish origin is a cover story.

just recently a story broke about a person in brazil called john of god. the man has been accused of operating a baby farm where he imprisoned women and forced them to have babies that he sold over seas for money. it is known that right before Roberts started to cast out of character votes on the constitution that Bill Clinton visited John of god in brazil. the guy operates a scam where he does alternative treatments for medical problems. this is given as the reason for the visit...very doubtful in my opinion. I think the more likely reason was too verify that the adoption that justice John Roberts did was actualy one of his trafficked babies and that the Irish source was just a cover story.

also known is that Obama was illegally monitoring the communication between this justice and the lawyer who handled the adoption. I believe that is how Obama found out that there was something screwy with the adoption.

this is just me putting together rumor on the internet so there is a good chance parts of this are wrong because there is no real sourcing. I put this out hoping a real researcher investigates this theory.

What you describe sounds like might be a Scrivner’s Error, which I believe may be able to be remedied any time by motion to court of record.
