House intelligence chair announces sweeping investigation into Trump's finances and Russia

These investigations are metastasizing to be virtually infinite in scope, targets and duration. There appears no way to stop them from within the system and they simply sap away the life of the country. Maybe the Venezuelan model of a million people in the streets will need to happen to stop the cancer spreading in the US, either that or star chambers and death squads like in some of the beloved Latin American countries whose culture the Left is so rapidly importing.

Now they're drawing a bead on President Trump's ability to apply tariffs.

ACTION ALERT: The Decepticon caucus inside the senate, under the control of U.S. Wall Street’s primary CoC Lobbyist and Big Club President Tom Donohue, are assembling to launch a full frontal assault against President Trump’s trade policies. Seriously watch out for Senators Pat Toomey, Rob Portman and Ron Johnson:

Toomey said reining in Trump’s tariff powers also has strong backing from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Business Roundtable and dozens of other trade associations. “There’s clearly a lot of momentum, but only time will tell whether it’s enough to get over the goal line.” (link)

National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow appeared on Fox Business today to discuss President Trump’s State of the Union address and the Trump administration’s economic policies.

It appears that the House Democrats really are going to squander their brief opportunity to hold majority control of the House. A year and a half from now, having passed nothing substantial into law, their voters will abandon them.

This outcome is probably what President Trump has had in mind all along whenever he weighed the pros and cons of using his executive powers to try and snuff out the Mueller witch hunt.

Is the Mueller witch hunt and the Democrat obsession with RussiaGate really hurting the POTUS that much? I don’t think so - if this is what the House Democrats are going to spend their political capital on - if this is what the Democrat controlled committees are going to “work” on - maybe we are dodging legislative bullets.

Just think of the job-killing regulations and socialist wealth-redistribution schemes the progressive wing of the House could be advancing, were it not for their obsession with this imaginary Trump-Russia conspiracy.
