Did he ever avail himself of healthcare from the VA?

Obviously not, or he would have gotten his teeth fixed.

We should play by their same Alinsky rules. Hard ball, no leeway. If Chief Slinging Bull did not serve in Vietnam, we should call him Chief Stolen Valor every time his name comes up. Period. Forever.

If he was one of the last Marines to serve in VN, that would be prominently featured in his bio. It’s not.

Chief Stolen Valor.

In your video clip, Chief Stolen Valor clearly states, “Well, as a Vietnam veteran I served in the Marines from 1972 to 1976....”

The “Vietnam era” veteran is a caveat applied to anyone who was in the military during a specified time period, whether stateside, Europe, WestPac or Vietnam.

https://www.veteranstodayarchives.com/2009/07/28/the-definition-of-a-vietnam-era-veteran/

A Vietnam war veteran is one who was in country or operationally flew over it and off shore conducting opertions on ships, boats, or subs.

There was also a Vietnam era retirement benefits package as it related to educational benefits but that got whittled away and folded into the Montgomery GI bill.

If Chief Stolen Valor was an embassy Marine in VN in 1972 or later, that would be a major featured part of his bio. It’s not.

In the video link up at 17, Chief Stolen Valor calls himself a Vietnam veteran. (Not era, time, etc.)

And he says he served in the Marines from 72 to 76. This indicates to me his boot camp and training was in 72, so no way was he in VN.

It’s not possible he was an embassy Marine, they didn’t put teenage FNGs on Embassy duty.

At 17, on video, he clearly states “Well, as a Vietnam veteran, I served in the Marines from 1972 to 1976.”

Not “Vietnam era.” Not “Vietnam times.”

Vietnam veteran.

If he went through boot camp in 1972, no way was he a Marine in Vietnam, unless he served at the embassy, which is also impossible. Teenage FNGs were not assigned to Embassy duty. Never were, never are.

In the video clip at #17, Chief Stolen Valor clearly states he was a “Vietnam veteran.” Not era, or time.

What point are you making? That Wiki is a joke source?

Chief Stolen Valor said in his own words at #17, “Well, as a VIETMNAM VETERAN....”

If you were never in Vietnam, you were NOT a Vietnam veteran.

Again, what is your point with that laughable Wiki link?

Vietnam Times veteran?

That sounds like he worked for a newspaper.

Fake news? I’d bet on it.
