Recall that President Trumps number one priority was to reverse the alarming decline in military readiness, which he (correctly, in my view) regarded as extremely dangerous, possibly tempting external enemies into a military confrontation in the belief that the US military would be unable to respond effectively

If accurate, DJT could be playing chess in an unknown dimension.
With the wall built it stands as a testament to the will of the people and of Trump and a hemorrhoid and a boil on the a## of all rats for the future, this is what they don’t want, A REMINDER
The idiot Chuck Todd said this morning that “millions” are affected by the shutdown...
What shutdown??? I haven’t noticed anything....
like your PC definition
Thanks...
3D² chess at the very least.
What the hell is a ‘Xanatos’? Some kind of Pfizer product?
He is also fighting the impeachment battle on this by breaking the Democrats unity.
I have said for a long time. Trump plays three dimensional chess while his opponents ( MSM,Dems, Establishment Rinos) all play old man checkers in the park, and they are not even very good at that game so he aces or skunks them every time. He’s playing a game of attrition and that wall will be his testimony!
Trump isn’t doing anything fancy. It’s just that the left and NeverTrumpers (but I repeat myself) do not understand the concept of Project Management. Trump might be the best Project Manager on this rock.
He has decades of experience. He announces what project he wants to do, planning for it (cost, time, resource availability), executing it, measuring it for quality and closing it. He has successfully done this quite a few times over the last two years and the opposition has no idea how he is managing to do it.
You know how Trump is successful? Anytime he completes a project he releases the people who were instrumental in assuring the projects success.
“The idiot Chuck Todd said this morning that millions are affected by the shutdown.”
This partial shutdown is excellent. Many of us that run businesses like the fact that the parasitic agencies and courts will have less money for harassment.
Trump will need to tweak this because food stamps will run out. But, if we do have turmoil and millions affected, that would be an emergency and Trump would need an emergency order to move money around. Of course, an emergency order could be broad and include the wall and such an order would not have a severability clause so that a judge would have to strike the whole thing down.
But, after binge watching the Godfather the other night, I sometimes wish Trump woukd just take care of business.
Fried liver attack?
Trump is gambling that the Dems don’t take him up on his offer and his base turns his back on him for allowing Congress to lie to We the People. The 1986 act was promised as a one time amnesty. Adult We the People made our concessions in 1986 and expect that promise to be fulfilled.

Military readiness being hacked by the constant attrition warfare of the GWOT and dog and pony shows for NATO.
What’s a Xanatos ? I see this term or expression being bandied about by “See how smart I am” so called journalists in a sentence without further explaining why it applies to their story. The same applies to the use of acronyms when used in a sentence without explaining later what that acronym stands for in their presentation.
“You know how Trump is successful? Anytime he completes a project he releases the people who were instrumental in assuring the projects success.”
Clarification please. I read this as Trump lets go of the people who were instrumental in completing the project and starts with new players on the next project. Is that what you mean?
This is just more Thomas lifson nonsense. He apparently gets paid to write this stuff.
Yes it is. It’s typical project management.
