Can anyone here remember if Tip O’Neill was talked about in this manner?

The removal or resignation of Trump and Pence has perhaps become more plausible with the New York Times revelation that the FBI opened an investigation into whether the president had been working for the Russians after he fired James Comey in 2017.

Oh, good grief. The FBI did not open up investigations into whether the president had been working for the Russians after he fired Comey. Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and Strzok's girlfriend, acting as rogue agents, attempted a soft coup that, if there was justice in DC, they'd be going to prison for.

“Too bad Peter Sellers isn’t around to play Mueller in the movie.”

That would be interesting. Peter Sellers with a Colonel Klink accent perhaps?

So this will happen in a couple of days?

Pence would immediately appoint a VP. The appointment would need to be approved, but it could happen.

The only way Pelosi takes over is a bomb at the White House. That is not likely.

NO. She should be the next Smithsonian exhibit. Right next to the dinosaur exhibits.

Other than by assassination, how does the author of this tripe think that both Trump and Pence would be ousted simultaneously?

If Trump is impeached, Pence immediately becomes President. If Pence in impeached, Trump appoints a new VP with the advice and consent of the Senate. If Trump is subsequently impeached or resigns, the new VP becomes President. (Hello, Gerald R. Ford.)

What nonsense. And anybody who even responds to this sort of birdcage lining has a lower I.Q. than the author.

Oh, wait...

If I’m not mistaken, the new president could name a VP. So Mike could name Tom Brady to be his VP. However, if Nancy did, you’ll see CW2.

If this happens by ANY means in ANY circumstance then IT is on. If you have to ask what IT is go back to sleep. And I am not kidding.

In Nov 2016, Lichtman was saying Trump would be impeached. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MWOHjt_3ms

On September 28, 2005, Lichtman formally announced his candidacy for the United States Senate from Maryland as a Democrat. He ran as a progressive, opposing the War in Iraq, calling for an immediate and safe withdrawal of U.S. troops.

Lichtman used innovative approaches to reach voters and supporters during the campaign including MySpace and a web ad where he jumped in a lake. When he and other candidates were not invited by the League of Women Voters to a debate, Lichtman went to the Maryland Public Television studio and protested; he, his wife, and campaign volunteer Gail Dobson were arrested. On October 19, 2006, the three were found Not Guilty on all charges.

Lichtman lost in the primary to Ben Cardin. According to the final tally, he received 6,919, or 1.2% of the vote, landing him in 6th place in a field of 18. In October 2012, the Washington Post reported that he was still paying off a mortgage he took out in order to help fund his campaign. - Wikipedia

Pence's nominee would have to be confirmed by a majority of both houses of Congress. So the House of Representatives could prevent him from picking a new vice president.

There was an attempt in 1973, after Spiro Agnew resigned, to prevent Gerald Ford's confirmation--but only a radical fringe of Congress signed on to that tactic. Nowadays it could be the majority of Democrats. Pelosi might be able to block a vote in the House.

When Andrew Johnson was on trial, one of the Senators who voted for his removal was the man who would have become President (or Acting President) if Johnson was removed. So Pelosi probably would not have any qualms about voting in her self-interest.
