A Gillette advert which references bullying, the #MeToo movement and toxic masculinity has split opinion online.
The razor company's short film, called Believe, plays on their famous tagline "The best a man can get", replacing it with "The best men can be".
The company says it wants men to hold each other "accountable".
Some have praised its message, which aims to update the company's previous message about masculinity, but others say Gillette is now "dead" to them.
It currently has 23,000 likes and 214,000 dislikes, at time of writing - and it's increasing all the time.

I hate overpriced shaving crap. I stopped buying in stores years ago. I found Harry’s and stocked up on blades, so I haven’t purchased a shave product in a couple of years now, and can probably go a couple more years. Hopefully Harry’s hasn’t been bought by Gilette since I checked, I know you can find them in stores now.
“How’d American culture fall so far in three decades?”
I think it’s been a highly organized covert, subtle long-term campaign to wussify America and feminize the men so we can’t protect ourselves in war. I could be wrong.
Rule number 1 in business no matter your beliefs or even your politics as coca cola found out the hard way back in the 80s,
Customer is king, never piss off your customer base.
Thanks for thr tip! After this cr@p, I’ll use a straight razor and risk exanguination before buying another Gillette.
That’s a great tweet. Logical and thoughtful.
...exsanguination...
Bic always has been French. Always weird. Several family members have worked for them. Products seem to be OK.
Sorry, Gilette, I don’t buy shaving stuff from sissies...
Have a Link?
Another Fake American, whose own society could not innovate indoor plumbing, or razor blades for that matter, and maintains castes, who feels it is ok to lecture us on social justice and toxic masculinity.
Hey Pankaj, back to where you came from and change your toxic masculine caste culture before lecturing your betters.
Yeah. When that progressive ad comes on I hit mute.
Seriously.
On a related note ... It's no longer the official razor of Alberta's Child.
While the customer can never literally always be right one needs to carefully evaluate the cost of pointing it out.
Is this new campaign why Gillette snapped its ties with Hardik Pandya?
Most major corporations have gone over to the left. They are run by people who are carried away by the current insane hysteria sweeping the nation.
People are now posting that text into the comments multiple times at the video. I love it!
With so much advertising worldwide these days, why in Heaven’s name Gillette thinks that girly men will go over well anywhere other than the blue bits of the US and the forelock-tugging parts of the EU is beyond me.
Had to go through training about how normal men need to be corrected any time they act like men. Was required to keep my job.
I ran the training videos with the sound off, and just pretended to be an ugly, man-hating, feminazi when I took the required quiz. Got just enough to pass and make my employer happy.
From the article:
Hardik Pandya saw his life change since his appearance on Koffee with Karan. The Indian cricketer drew ire from the entire nation for his misogynistic comments.
So, Pandya was fired for angering feminists, an ad campaign was put together to appease the angered feminists, and in the process pissed off every man on Earth.
