I’ll bet the Gen. X’ers and Millenials get so tired of people from my generation revisiting the 60’s and 70’s.
I imagine them rolling their eyes “Here we go again!”

Sometimes, once I get started, it’s hard to come out of it.
Almost everything then had a certain style to it. Sometimes a tacky style. I recall Nehru Collars. I recall those Avocado colored refrigerators.

I recall those oil painted ‘masterpieces’ showing Dogs sitting at the table playing Poker. The Dog paintings were meant as a answer to those illustrations of the big eyed children by Margaret Keane.. I recall the Ford Pinto. Sadly, one of my first News related memories is about the drug Thalidomide. The movie “Children of the Damned’ soon followed. Some thought it was capitalizing on the hysteria.

Can anyone see the millennials of today trying to pull this off? It will turn into a three day Trump hating protest. They will fail miserably.

Tempted to go if the lineup looks anything like that. Some good bands - I've already seen several.

I say tempted, because I know it' going to be a mess getting there, staying and then getting out of there. Plus I can't stand nasty hippies, and there will be a bunch - pissing and shi**ing all over.

It'll be really hard to get any sleep too. They like to do raves and all-night stuff at these nowadays.

They should just have the original performers who are still alive.

YEP, at 64yo I lived through that crap The other nite i had to suffer through overhearing a group of old geezer hippies at the restaurant table next to me, bragging about how "We" shut down the airport making Reagans plane divert to Vandenburg and took over the Santa Barbara university at Isla Vista. It was kinda disturbing because I knew the real story was not a romantic tale but one that involved rape and violence and psuedo anarchy. The police and National Guard showed a lot of restraint and took a lot of abuse. I knew a girl who got gang raped there.

The Isla vista riots and Altamont disaster were marking the end the Hippie days are better left in the grave

Yea I agree. It won’t be the same. It will simply be a shoddy remake of a classic movie. It will not be organic. It is a forced event tailored to snowflakes. Reruns are all that the snowflakes know.

Try as you might, you cannot recreate the 60’s. It was a one time thing.

Exactly- i was very young in the 60’s, but still remember the ‘vibe’ (it went into the 70’s for awhile too- die hards kept it alive)- life will never be as groovy as it used to be- everyone is way way way too uptight and all up in everyone else’s business these days to cool anymore- too much hate and violence now- too many sissies now too-

"I wonder how many attending will be young people, and how many will be old farts trying to relive the past."

My guess is the tickets will be pricey and many purchasers will be hippie wannabes from the 60s that never ventured out of their comfort zone to join the counter culture but always longed to have been part of the cultural shift.

If you haven’t seen the pictures from the 1999 Woodstock, then you are delusional to think it won’t happen again. They burned about 20 trailers, trashed the place and people feared for their lives.

Thinking another Woodstock would be different is akin to liberals thinking we should do socialism/communism with the right people in charge, because the outcome will be different, right?

No.

Liberals destroy everything they touch.

From the past there will still be traffic, sanitation, and drug problems.

Add in today’s terrorism, SJW, and race problems.

As a side note, it is interesting in looking at old photos almost all the attendees appear to be white.

We also know whatever happens, it will be reported as a negative reflection on Trump.
