It’s just about 8 a.m. in London now. The ballot will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. I hope she’s packing.

There hasn’t been any confidence in her for a long time.

One of the worst PMs, ever.

THE GREAT FIRE

Cubs make fires on the edge of the golf course
But there’s more of them than us now
And they have come to settle scores
So there’s bound to be altercations
On the B-road where they don’t fly the union flag

Back to the seaside the dream About 6pm
The North Pier
The lead stare
The deep dead laughter of the yellow stars [vests]

Rapturous waves
Rapturous waves

England is a crazy lawless anachronistic place.

If May loses the Queen dissolves Parliament.

New election.

Hello Liberals?

In Britain, the PM can be turfed by a vote of the party's sitting MP’s. No election would be triggered — so, no immediate danger of Corbyn taking over.

AFAIK, this vote is on confidence in May as PM — that's quite different from a vote of confidence in the government. That would also involve Opposition MP’s; and, if successful, would likely trigger an election. (Very likely; but not certain, as the Queen decides.)

Britain, and other nations of the Realm, don't have a Chief Executive, who stands apart from the legislative branch. The PM is a member of Parliament, and is considered to be “first among equals”.
