Bernie Sanders got bitch slapped into a corner by Hillary Clinton. The only reason he got some traction was that, like Trump, he positioned himself outside of official Washington and people really wanted change. After Bush/Clinton/Clinton/Bush/Bush/Obama/Obama, they were not interested in another Bush or another Clinton. But Trump closed the deal in his party and Bernie did not.
He can't run as the Washington outsider against Trump, the ultimate outsider.
Being an “outsider” is an age-old campaign tactic. It didn’t start with Trump.
In my mind that today it is inexcusable to vote for a Demon and this election should have been a lay-up for anyone with a scintilla of smarts. If the Republicans couldn’t win this one I see nothing to think they can win the next.
