Trump Unleashes on ‘Dumb as a Rock’ Tillerson: He ‘Didn’t Have the Mental Capacity’
msn ^ | 12/7/2018 | Josh Feldman

President Donald Trump is clearly not happy with comments from his former Secretary of State.

Rex Tillersongot candid today not just about his time at State, but about the President and how “undisciplined” he is. He also claimed that he had to explain to Trump that various things he proposed were illegal.

Trump clearly heard about the comments, and he fired back with some choice words for the man who once reportedly called him a “moron”:

“Mike Pompeo is doing a great job, I am very proud of him,” Trump tweeted Friday afternoon. “His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State!”

I thought there was something weird about a former head of Exxon-Mobil joining forces with the environmentalist whackos.

That’s a good one. I had forgotten Cat sang that song.
I thought it was by Jim Croce during his brief 15 weeks of fame. I would like to hear that song with some strings, violin and cello and maybe an Oboe in the middle like a sonata.

Dumb as a rock, lazy? He’ll make a great Democratic president if he was blacker.

Tillerson gave up a sweet job, and ended up getting fired. I can understand why he was pissed.

In some corporate cultures you have to really screw up really bad to be let go. Why? Because the system does not make mistakes and putting someone who makes bad moves or mistakes is a mistake.

Tillerson made a lot of people wonder about Exxon by supporting gays in the Boy sprouts and siding with the environmental wackos. However, it is a company whose mission is to make money and if his actions are necessary to make money... well. You can’t have principles that go against making money when you are CEO so long as the position taken is legal and moral for the day to the majority of your customers.

Regarding Trump hires. When Trump came aboard he had no political machine to assist in the creation of a cabinet. Now he does. Personally, I don’t think it will matter much. You either work for Trump and his economics or you get out.

Question—. If Tillerson is so dumb, such an idiot, etc. Then why in the heck did Trump pick him in the first place?

Buying time for Pompeo to clean up the mess in the CIA before installing him as SOS, his real 1st choice?

When Trump was elected, he had a very short time to put an administration in place. He did not have time to see some of his people under fire and in process. Nearly every administration does the same thing.

Trump’s judgement would make you out as a troll.

He fits right in with most oil company CEOs. They are not the brightest bulbs on the string, and we often wondered how they got such important positions. It’s amazing how far brown-nosing and saying the right things can take a dummy.

Tillerson is a great example of an exec who gets to the top recycling the conventional wisdom and once at the top lets his staff set the agenda. Surprising number of top executives are like this and a lot of the highest ranking people in the military as well.

If Tillerson is the genius he claims he is, why would he accept the job from a supposed moron like Trump? Wouldn’t he know he’d get fired?

Just got off the phone with a friend who is an engineer. He told me about one of the “star” execs who came down (previous employed) to further a “robotics” project.

I know my friend is telling the truth. He sees the rank stupidity that exists in the world. This “star” was so blindingly stupid we wonder how people get to that kind of position.

I don’t want to give out the details to help maintain his privacy. It just boggles the mind.

You are right about that. For a man who has excelled in the shark tank of NYC big business he really seems rather like a Boy Scout (circa 1960 Boy Scout) about government. He really seemed to have no conception of the interlaced patterns of lying, manipulating, influence networks and profound moral and fiduciary corruption that is the Beltway culture today. The end of the Cold War created a new universe where tens of thousands of inner circle people and many institutions (CIA, FBI, etc) had to redefine the threat matrix to justify their existence at the levels they were at. This really unleashed forces that could not be controlled. I am sure DJT was dumbfounded when he found out how ethically and morally challenged men who were career military or CIA or FBI where. As one who was a career munchkin in this world I still find the level of depravity to be amazing. We fought the Cold War for this?

Inappropriate response by the POTUS.

Tillerson is not as dumb as a rock and saying he is sounds childish. Just more ammunition for the Left who say the POTUS is a loose cannon.

Now Tillerson is a Martyr with a Megaphone. Whether he started this or not will be lost in the reporting.

A better response would have been, apparently former SOS Tillerson and I disagree on what occurred during his Tenure at the White House. I wish him well in his future endeavors and I thank him for his service to the Nation.

I love when the POTUS fights back, but this silliness only serves to strip some of his less enthusiastic supporters away and empowers the “see we told you” Enemy.

Just my $.02, your Mileage may vary.

Well actually what they’re saying Tillerson said was of course pulled out of context....ignore the pundits intro here....this is the video and in fact Tillerson said he’d go back to WAshington if Trump asked him to.

So it’s fake reporting....listen for yourself....

That is one of the difficult issues in today’s political environment.

Trump will be continually attacked and lied about. That is a given.

Should President Trump be like the Bushes and not respond. Should he let people lie about him, let the media continually repeat it and say absolutely nothing.

Or should he defend himself.

Trump has never attacked people who did not attack him first.

He is not using Alinsky tactics like the Democrats.

President Trump does not assign people to continually lie about people to destroy their careers, reputations and ultimately their lives.

When attacked, the President sometimes defends himself.

Sometimes he says nothing.

Which makes POTUS Trump’s knee jerk response even more childish IMHO.

Tillerson was never interested in the MAGA agenda. His entire stay at state he was carrying water for the corporate world and Democrats. He fought POTUS tooth and nail on Paris and Iran. He would have made a fine SOS for Obama, no doubt. His termination was for cause.
