I know and you will find most of those people have never REALLY met Americans long enough to really know them. My wife is from Denver and I know her sisters and her parents quite well. They are normal people as people, and have the same personal challenges and personality quirks as any Canadians I know.

My whole family on my Dad’s side are pretty anti-American but live in Palm Springs 5 months of the year. Go figure.

Problem is anti-Americanism is pretty knee jerk here, even among so called conservatives - of which there isn’t many.

The worst is my sister's long time boyfriend. He use to live in the US for some time so what he tells us is suppose to be the gospel truth, but according to him Americans are particularly racist. Not my experience at all, but that is what he says. Then again he is a virtue signaler and was spreading around the picture of the woman and her children fleeing the gas canisters making a comment that “If you support Trump you are not a Christian”. I was VERY tempted replying but I think I will be seeing him at a family event this coming Sunday....

My daughter-in-laws step father is originally born and raised in the Bronx, he's cool. Her mother is Canadian. She seems ok.

I see Canadian anti-Americanism as pure jealousy. But what really pisses me off to no end about the Canuks is how they don't have a f’ing clue as to what life would be like for them if instead of The United States on their southern border they had Mexico as a neighbor. If that were the case life for Canadians would be a waking nightmare 24/7.

Managed to avoid politics thankfully. I recall as a teenager we had a guest teacher come into our history class to talk about Vietnam. He was a draft dodger - so you can pretty much guess how much he bashed the United States. DDs tend to be the worst anti-Americans you can come across.

Yes. I hear stories about Australia. The standard of living there is very expensive. Simply because they do not have a place like the USA right next door. Canada benefits from access to cheap products, especially agriculture, from the US (and Mexico via the US).

And yes, we don’t have caravans of Americans trying to break the border.
