The mother seen in a now-famous photo desperately pulling her daughters away from tear gas plumes at the US-Mexico border said she never imagined American forces would fire mace canisters at women and children.
“We never thought they were going to fire these bombs where there were children, because there were lots of children,” Maria Meza said in an interview with Reuters.

US Border Patrol agents began to fire tear gas canisters, and three landed around Meza and her kids.
“The first thing I did was grab my children,” Meza said from a Tijuana migrant shelter.
“I was scared, and I thought I was going to die with them because of the gas.”

Why are all the people between her and the border fence just standing around? How is there acloud of something near the creek(?) but nowhere else?
Many people in the camps didn’t go to the wall because they knew it was not safe. This woman chose to take her children to the wall.
What happened to the 1500 mile walk and starving the whole way? She looks pretty-well fed to me. As it turns out, this was a staged photo shoot. Also, if you try to enter a country illegally, what did you expect? The libs suggest milk and cookies. I say don’t let them in at all. There’s way already in place for that...go ahead and use one of those, but don’t expect the people who pay taxes to welcome a bunch of freeloaders.

Something important here. They com and defy the law because they have learned there are no bad consequences. They need to learn that if they put their hand on a hot burner it will hurt.
The press really wished one of the kids collapsed and died, then they could really get a “stick it to Trump” shot. And no, I’m not kidding. I believe that would have made them happy and I believe they are still hoping it happens.

... that picture was cropped. The actual real photo shows four or five other poses taking place within that single frame on both sides of the water. There are so many photographers taking pictures in that frame.
