A line of emoticons is for those incapable of expressing themselves through words. Sloth and laziness writ large.
Unless the font size is increased to ludicrous levels, these same emoticons are nothing but a tiny smear of varied color on the screen.
Please use words so others might understand what you are trying to communicate.
