Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) said Sunday that he is "very seriously considering" another bid at the presidency in 2020 and raised the possibility of running on a bipartisan ticket.
"These are earnest conversations that go on virtually every day with some of my friends, with my family. We need different leadership. There isnt any question about it," he said on ABC's "This Week."
Kasich said that "all options are on the table" for his potential bid, including running on a bipartisan ticket.
The Ohio governor, who ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination in 2016, raised the possibility that President Trump and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) are nominated by their respective parties in 2020.
Kasich said that would leave an "ocean of people" in the middle.
Is there a legitimate opportunity for a third party, bipartisan kind of ticket to be able to score a victory or to have a profound impact on the future of American politics? We dont know at this point," he said.
"No one thought a guy like Donald Trump would be elected president. No one thought wed have electric cars," he added. "This is a time of change, dynamic change. You cant judge tomorrow on the basis of what happened yesterday."
Kasich said he has no timetable for determining whether to run, but added that he is worried about the future of the United States.
"And not just in the short-term," he said. "Im worried about our country in the long-term.
.
Kasich having pipe dreams!
You should see his collection of “secret friends.”

.
>> “He has conversations every day. With himself?” <<
Yes!
And often has to ask himself to repeat what he said...
.
Or his own “ mirror mirror on the wall” in several rooms!
Who whispers these “sweet nothings” into his ear saying that there is this vast untapped “pro-Kasich” wave waiting to be unleashed?
Is he really that delusional?
Yes, a half-assed Republican on the Dem ticket would really fire up their base. We're more likely to see an albino pony on their ticket.
Likely with the Waffle House and IHOP waitresses angling for a bigger tip.....
The Dem base will vote for whoever they are told to vote for. They like Kasich and he will flip on whatever he needs to flip flop on. Having him on the ticket would be used for other reasons.
Beto/Harris, Cuomo/Booker, Bernie/Warren, it will be an all-hard-left ticket, with mismatching genitals and/or racial spice.
If he switched parties and ran as a Dem, he’d probably win.
No he wouldn't, almost all of the liberals I know personally cannot stand the guy.
Hearing voices, Kasick? Perhaps you’re not mentally sound to be president. I’d say you’re unstable. Anyone who would vote for you, I’d say the same.
I have conversations everyday...
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall..."
For at least twenty years.
he has conversations everyday. Must be talking to himself.
Kasich's statement is akin to Peewee Herman threatening to kick your a$$!
that go on virtually every day with some of my friends, with my family.

His problem is he needs to expand the list of those with whom he has these
conversations. He may get some differing opinions and other suggestions as
to his future.
He’s even had conversations with the rutabagas in the grocery aisle. But the yams are adopting a wait and see attitude and have said nothing.
I understand the peas told him to just hole it for a while.
Dufus. Dweeb. Dork. Annoying. Idiot.
Im sure he has lots of conversations with himself about running for POTUS, thats what delusional people do.
Third party spoiler.
OMG no.
Just. No.
If Kasich runs his only real goal will be to pull enough votes away from Trump in OH to tip the state away from Trump, perhaps letting the Dem win the election. The Dems will then reward him with a nice position in their new administration.
