“It’s going to trigger a civil war and me, like most other citizens, we’re all ready,” said Benjamin Vrignaud, a 21-year-old protester from Chartres.

“They take everything from us. They steal everything from us,” said 21-year-old Laura Cordonnier.

Sometimes it seems like we, here in the USofA, need a ‘game program’ to identify the players and their ‘positions’ when we talk of EU politics. French President Emmanuel Macron is considered, within Europe, as being right-of-center. For us, a closer match would be a French Chuck Schumer, mildly socialist but protective of the biggest businesses and Wall Street & committed to government intervention and fixing human-caused global warming.

As such, these riots have been going on continuously for more than a week and the protestors are building barricades (remember ‘Les Miserables’?) Macron’s rated ‘popularity’ has dropped below 25% and he is feeling that heat. Thus his calls for EU Unity, anti-Brexit and a public tongue-lashing of PDJT’s ‘nationalism’. With his partner in mild socialist activism, Angela Merkel, on her way out, he is feeling the heat of a flop.

People are taking bets not on whether he’ll remain in office but how long it will be before he’s forced out.

Right. Fighting climate change involves difficulties not unlike tilting at windmills.

Just raise taxes! Whew. That was the easy part.

Collecting them will turn out to be harder than pulling a hen’s tooth.

I don’t envy Macron on being able to do it when he’s political roadkill.

What’s that old saying about a moderate? Its an armadillo in the middle of the road.

And Macron’s been run over. Whether he’s been left for dead we’ll know when the protests have played out.

Well, wait. Can’t the French just pay for it, like Socialism Barbie in the Bronx wants us to do? Why is a tax increase needed? Just print more money and blank checks...

Who wants to pay for it?

People don’t want to be taxed - they want the fellow behind the other tree to bd taxed.

If taxes had no cost, they’d be popular. Since they do, therein lies the problem.

Macaroon is not very popular. He has accomplished nothing. There still are muzzies streaming into the country. He wants France to disappear and be sucked up into the EU.

Interesting fact: Back in 1429, the only thing Joan of Arc asked for from King Charles VII was to exempt her home town, Domremy, from taxes. He agreed and decreed it to be forever. “Forever” lasted until 1789 and the French Revolution. I think it has been mostly all downhill since then for France. Joan needs to come back and kick some butt again!

This is what Californian’s have to do if we ever want it back from the Socialist/Democrats that have hijacked it.

The Democrats control the State. They lied about Proposition #6. (Yes meant no on the ballot.). Leading up to the election they ordered up thousands of signs, and had them placed throughout California “YOUR GAS TAXES AT WORK”, and described the type of work we have been demanding forever as though they were really going to do it, and advertised misleadingly on the TV.

There are taxes already on fuel, and other automotive products intended to maintain the highways, and associated structures throughout California, but the Democrats keep stealing all the money. The Democrats are going to steal all of this new tax money as well.

Californians were lied to again, and it’s time to take to the streets to let the damnable Democrats know we aren’t going to take it anymore.

I also don’t give a damn what any one of the talking heads says, the Democrats stole multiple elections here in California. They flat out stole them.

Sure the secular, internationalist and socialist leaders of Europe know their days are numbered.

I’m bettin’ they’ve known for years.

But they intend to squeeze one last drop of milk out of that teat.

They have manufactured trillons of euros in debt, they and their cronies being the recipients of it.

Now they will watch as their nations burn, and hope they are not found and found out.

I guess the socialistic French government ran out of other people's money so they need to steal more from their citizens.

They began heavily taxing gasoline and diesel as a means to reduce dependency on fossil fuels. In other words, we're taxing a fuel that has no direct "clean" equivalent so you either pay up or don't drive. If it was about funding some social program the French might have been okay with it, they love that stuff. But this is about controlling them, forcing them to suffer for some hypothetical "save the world" thing. That's a tougher sell, apparantly.

Public hangings may one day make a comeback.

The gun-grabbers, socialists, and various fringe groups should start getting worried.

Stealing money under the guise of taxes and taking freedom under the guise of safety will only get those thieves so far until the jig is up and the people say enough.

It’s one thing for the French to be angry about high taxes, but it would be another thing for them to wake up and realize that their latest exorbitant tax increase represents another big step on France’s Road to Serfdom and inevitable Venezuelan-type doom.

All France needs is a new right-wing, free-market-oriented, tax-cutting populist prime minister to turn things around. Which France has waiting in the wings in the form of Marie LePen — a woman whom the French Leftists have spent decades attacking as a Fascist Creature from the Black Lagoon who would turn France into a horror movie version of Auschwitz if elected.

Unless the French realize that the French Socialist Establishment has propagandized them into rejecting the very type of leadership they need, France will continue to decline.
