President Donald Trump defended his daughter’s use of a private email address for some government business on Tuesday, despite excoriating his opponent Hillary Clinton for using a private server as Secretary of State. “There was no deleting like Hillary Clinton did,” Trump said. “There was no servers in the basement, like Hillary Clinton had, you’re talking about all fake news.”
The president commented to reporters as he left the White House for his Thanksgiving weekend at his Mar-a-lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
The Washington Post reported on Monday that Ivanka Trump used her private email to conduct some government business in 2017, despite having a government email.

“Today we will start with a glaring example of FAKE News and manufactured outrage. The President’s daughter is being attacked for using an a private email address. The Fake News is this being equated to the egregious practices of Hillary Clinton. I’ll remind you that Ivanka Trump was part of the government less than one year compared to the nearly 25 years for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Ivanka Trump never deleted an email, hid a server, or sent unprotected Classified information to anyone. To in anyway compare or equate the two is Fake News and extremely unfair.”
This appears to me to be another wadded-up tin foil ball Trump is tossing onto the ground for the LSM to chase. Ivanka’s emails are brought up allowing an avenue for Trump to bash HRC’s clearly illegal (read evil) actions with her email.
Bringing up HRC’s mess again is in synch with Judicial Watch’s HRC email question time line.

Is it illegal to use a personal phone for government business. Don’t think it’s illegal here at my State government.

Ivanka email use was from some company like Yahoo or Google + Ivanka was NOT Secretary of State!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are on the fed gov’t payroll....your actions (production of emails) have to go to an fed gov’t archive. This was built into law back around 20 years ago. As long as Ivanka didn’t delete the emails and just hands them over...there’s a limited amount of bad-boy paperwork to be created.
The phone business by itself is not going to be an issue....it’s text and emails that are key to this discussion.
I will offer this observation (over 25 years of gov’t service and handling classified). If you decide this is a big deal and want a prosecutor to get into this...it only opens up bigger to Hillary and the odds of additional players in the Obama administration who used private email addresses as well. If I were a Democratic player...I don’t think I’d go and talk much about this.

Using your private electronic communications for government business is allowed if: 1. For the records act they are preserved ; 2. There is no UNCLAS, FOUO or above information contained.
I do believe the user is required to notify IT security that they will be engaging in this and provide access for them to your account.
EVERYTHING above board and on the table for everyone to observe and inspect. This is why you should not do it because all your personal communications becomes public property.

Wonder if the Ivanka email thing is an intentional trap for the Democrats.
If not, it certainly presents a target of opportunity which should be exploited.
This is a recycled story, not fake.
Her attorneys have come out and issued statements saying Ivanka didn’t delete any emails and the emails are now housed on the government server.
So Ivanka using personal email is not fake .... stupid beyond understanding .... but not fake.
