The Dems won’t get anything done with that kind of “majority” and look for infighting within that congress...the Occasios will want communism fast and hard and the Congessional Republicans can sit back and not support the Dems in their schemes and let the Dems flail against a balking Senate.

Maybe these are just sour grapes, but it’s not like Trump and Republicans had this great legislative agenda for the next two years anyway. There was talk about entitlements reform, but we all know that was never going to happen—Trump has shown no appetite for it, and they couldn’t even repeal Obamacare with control of both houses when that was a unanimous Republican position just a few years ago.
Democrats can’t pass any of their agenda without the Senate or White House, and Trump doesn’t need the House to continue cutting regulations and appointing conservative judges. This probably doesn’t change much policy-wise.
I’m with you, I don’t understand all the histrionics either. Usually midterms are much more of a blood bath for the party of the sitting president. I can only hope that Nancy gets speaker, she is such a blathering fool these days it will be a laugh a minute.

Yep. The MSM was right. Numerous FReepers were wrong. The Dems now have control of the House and they WILL impeach Trump. Sure he won’t be convicted in the Senate but Trump will join Johnson and Clinton in the history books as an impeached President. Plus — none of Trump’s agenda will get passed. Not a good night.
