James Polite, the 26-year-old man who was arrested Friday for allegedly vandalizing a synagogue in Brooklyn Thursday, is a Democratic activist who once worked for New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, and also volunteered for Barack Obama.
The New York Times reported Saturday:
Mr. Polite was arrested on Friday and charged with criminal mischief as a hate crime for writing “Die Jew Rats,” “Hitler,” “End It Now” and “Jew Better Be Ready” in marker on walls of the Union Temple of Brooklyn.
The police said surveillance video captured Mr. Polite, of Brooklyn, inside the synagogue.
He was taken into custody on Friday morning at the scene of a fire that had been set inside the coat room of Yeshiva Beth Hillel of Williamsburg, officials said.
Mr. Polite was charged with arson, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief — all as hate crimes — for setting fires at four other locations affiliated with the Jewish community, including another school. The police recognized Mr. Polite from the surveillance video at Union Temple.
Quinn and Polite met at “a gay pride rally for Barack Obama on the steps of City Hall in 2008,” the Times notes.

CNN had the story on their website. Left out details like Democrat activist, queer, black etc. Just name, age, and from Brooklyn.
There was nothing fake about the hate.
The only thing fake was the outrage claiming a Neo-Nazi did it when, from the start, they knew the perp write pro Puerto Rico graffiti and was a black man.
The most likely perp in an anti-Semitic crime is (in this order): (1) Black Muslim; (2) Muslim, any race; (3) Black, any religion; (4) BDS nut; and very distant (5) white neo-Nazi.
There are not enough real Neo-Nazis in the USA to fill a trailer park, and half of them are FBI informants.

He was clearly hoping that this could be built into a “Trump’s fault” narrative, but he was too dumb to realize that nowadays everything is on a security camera and it’s getting harder and harder to pull off a stunt like this.

I assumed he was setting it up to look like a right-wing attack. If you read the Times article, the community was about to have a Democratic fundraiser there which was why the guy had access to the shul. Dumb move on the part of the shul but Dems are some of the stupidest, most gullible people on the planet.
