Tree of Life Synagogue Rabbi Jeffrey Meyers said Thursday on CNN’s “New Day” that he was “pleasantly surprised” by President Donald Trump’s warmth and compassion during his visit to Pittsburgh.
“I was privileged to have a private 15 or 20 minutes with the (Trump) family. The president was very warm, very consoling,” Meyers said.
“He put his hand on my shoulder and the first question he asked me was, ‘Rabbi, tell me how are you doing?’ And I must say throughout the time we spent together I was pleasantly surprised by a warm and personal side to the president that I don’t think America has ever seen,” he added.
Meyers said he told the president about his ordeal and said they discussed the issue of hate speech, along with other personal matters.

America has never seen? has this rabbi ever watched a Trump rally? ever? or is he just tuned to CNN?
I am close to the Jewish Community, and if I can para-phrase the Vegas Add, "What happens in the Voting Booth, stays in the Voting Booth". My guess is this meeting left a lasting impression more than we will ever know and the private conversations he will have with congregants of his Temple, will be profound as well. This is how you do reach out, sadly this was done at a time of sadness brought about by an act of someone very evil. This is PDJT, he is a relationship builder, we all wish he could have met the Rabbi in a different time and circumstance.
Couldn’t care less what those Rabbis have to say, they botched the response badly.

It’s amazing to hear from people when they meet him under any circumstance , how they they like him. He is a good man and a great leader. If this country would get behind him ,it would be a better country for all of us. History will prove his worth.
The media has been relentless. But I think people are tired of it. I expect the GOP to do well next week. I really can’t see the media spending the next 2 years STILL attacking Trump relentlessly.
If the media does that, I think the MSM dies rapidly.
If the media, on the other hand, starts to be truthful, the Democrat Party dies rapidly — they will have lost big in 2016 and in 2018 and their open hostility to the people of the country will be laid bare leading to 2020.
