Those “Pittsburgh Jewish leaders” were key members of the hardcore leftist organization, Bend the Arc, whose national Director is Alexander Soros.

You do the math. Obviously the BBC writer didn’t care to do it.

LeoWindhorse, did you see this sentence in the article? “Members of Pittsburgh’s Jewish community were among about 2,000 demonstrators who held a protest, according to Reuters news agency.”

In other words, it was not a Jewish group protesting President Trump’s visit. The Reuters writers had to find a Jewish angle and so wrote that there were some local Jews in the protesting crowd. We know this, because 11 local Jews who are members of Alex Soros’s “Bend the Arc” group had signed a letter asking President Trump not to come. Sadly, the news media gave these radicals wide coverage and called them “Jewish leaders” even though none of the 11 signatories is even a member of the board of the Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh.

This was not a Jewish demonstration against President Trump’s visit to Pittsburgh.

[ The alleged gunman was not a Trump supporter. ]

Appears the BBC is more honest in their reporting than the American MSM. Or more accurately, less dishonest.

What about the supposed rabbi(s) whom disavowed Trump’s visit ? Along with Mayor & Gov ? Are they Jewish ?

Sorry I am completely perplexed how any American Jew cannot see that President Trump is the best friend Israel and Jews in general ever had in the office of POTUS. Stunning....

It’s because lib Jews care far more about LGBTQ activism, climate catastrophe BS, erasing our borders, and abortion-on-demand than they care about Israel.

I read the news fairly avidly, and I read nothing about a supposed rabbi who disavowed President Trump’s visit. I know that the rabbi of the synagogue that was attacked graciously welcomed President Trump, his wife, his daughter, and his son-in-law. What was the name of the rabbi who you believe disavowed the visit?

And now the left takes on the tactics of the Westboro church - protesting at funerals.

Where does it say they were protesting at funerals?

My error . Just catching up with this news after my work day .
It was the Joshua Friedman character , a Leftist activist claiming to speak for Pittsburg’s Jews that made the negative statements . Not the synagogue’s rabbi . As you pointed out . He was apparently welcoming and has taken a lot of heat and gotten threats from that . Sorry , u r right

These same loony leftist haters were silent when Bobo Obama spit on the dead at the Charlie Hebdo massacre and said that they’d provoked the Islamists and he refused to stand with Europe in denouncing the attack.

Barack Hussein Obama was able to successfully deflect the fact that the Orlando nightclub shooter was an Obama voting known wolf Islamic terrorist who was angry about Barack’s drone strikes on muslim nations.

Instead BO blamed it on Christian opposition to same sex marriage.

It just makes no damn sense but hey, that’s the left for you.

Critics accuse Mr Trump of fomenting a surge in white nationalist and neo-Nazi activity through divisive rhetoric which has seen him criticise immigrants and Muslims in particular.

Some Jewish figures and Pittsburgh’s Democratic Mayor Bill Peduto opposed the presidential visit.

So the president moves the embassy to Jerusalem and has family and admin people who are Jewish. He supposedly “criticizes immigrants and muslims in particular”(who want to kill all Jews) and the Jews are upset.

Me thinks they more Leftist than Jewish.

They were protesting outside the synagogue during the memorial service upon returning from the first of the burials. First four sentence.

It was the ‘former’ rabbi , a female, of this temple , which made the disavowal and pleaded “ no visit !” Thank goodness she was not listened to
