Ive been a Sessions fan for many, many years. It was Sessions meeting with Trump that helped Trump form the Trump agenda, well before he announced his run. That's all irrelevant now. Whatever noble service he rendered in the past, has been far overshadowed by his deep failings in his current post.
As for Trump's agenda, it was mapped out years before Sessions came on as a supporter. It's in his books.

LOVE SHERIFF CLARKE!!! He is exactly who we need, he’d do a great job.

Joe would be great, not sure he’d want it, but he would be great as well as Sheriff Clarke.

Sessions & Miller wrote Trump’s immigration policy. Recusing himself re. Russia was not a shining moment, obviously. But Mueller has nothing on Trump, and when that is finally revealed, the dems/MSM won’t be able to scream that Sessions protected Trump.
Regardless, you won’t find a stronger opponent of illegal immigration in the cabinet. Sessions was a bulwark against the GOP’s Bushian house & senate amnesty plans for decades.
Sessions has done a crapload of good work as AG, despite the recusal.

stick him in charge of Homeland Security
That's a good idea. The easiest way out of this mess would be to ask Sessions and Secretary Nielsen to trade places. They have already been vetted by the Senate, and she doesn't have any AG recusal problems that I can think of. And she's not guilty. She will never be guilty.
