The Secret Service has intercepted a suspicious package addressed to former President Obama in Washington, D.C.
The Secret Service said in a statement that the package, and another sent to the home of Bill and Hillary Clinton in New York, were identified as “potential explosive devices and appropriately handled as such.”
The statement said that the Obamas and Clintons did not receive the packages, and were not at risk of receiving them.
The package sent to the Clintons was reported earlier Wednesday and was intercepted late Tuesday night, according to the Secret Service.
"The packages were immediately identified during routine mail screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled as such," the Secret Service said in a statement. "The protectees did not receive the packages nor were they at risk of receiving them."
The Secret Service said it had initiated "a full scope criminal investigation that will leverage all available federal, state, and local resources to determine the source of the packages and identify those responsible."
NBC New York reported that the package sent to the Clintons is similar to the explosive device found at the home of billionaire philanthropist George Soros on Monday.
The Secret Service statement did not mention the explosive sent to Soros.

first Soros, then Obama and now I saw a headline this a.m. about something at the Clinton house in Chappaqua. If I'm a lower to mid-level Dem personality, I'm sweating bullets right now. A good false flag operation would be to set a few at the big names to get the press fired up and spread the story of the "eeeevil right wingers," then knock a disposable pawn or two off the board to cement the image in the public conscience.

The good news... It shouldn’t take too long to catch the culprit. Sending snail mail or any other package can be tracked rather quickly... That’s why they caught that ‘would be’ unabomber in Texas so quickly. Video cameras are everywhere so the days of doing pretty much anything in an incognito manner is over... Just ask the Saudi’s... Man walks into embassy... Man doesn’t walk out. Case over.

I wouldn’t be surprised if all these packages originated with a Deep State patsy...who is conveniently white and has a social media account praising DJT and White Nationalism.
Maybe these stupid stunts will spur on brain-dead Democrats, but I don’t think it will have an effect on Independents and Republicans in this election. Too late and way too obvious.
BTW, the South America caravan is ticking off my registered Democrat, half-Hispanic neighbor. She says she and her husband are voting for Cox for Governor here in CA. She doesn’t agree with Newsome who is all for free healthcare for illegals, not actual citizens. As a nurse, she says she’s sick of illegals coming in and taking advantage of California’s generosity.
Unfortunately, I don’t know if hers and my vote will matter as the Dems have the state tied up with a blue ribbon noose. I still voted straight Republican. Mailed it in the other day.
Saw where she was given an award a few nights ago and made comments about believing “Dr. CBF”. Went to the same school. What a ditz.
