'Potentially catastrophic' Hurricane Willa takes aim at Mexico as a Category 5 storm
ABC News ^ | 22 Oct 18 | Max Golembo

Posted on 10/22/2018 12:48:22 PM PDT by SkyPilot

Hurricane Willa strengthened to a powerful Category 5 storm Monday morning, taking aim at the Mexican coast and threatening to deliver life-threatening storm surge, wind and rain.

Now packing 160 mph winds, some strengthening was still possible for the storm Monday, making Willa "potentially catastrophic" for Mexico, the National Hurricane Center warned.

It's expected to weaken when it makes landfall Tuesday but is forecast to bring large waves, dangerous storm surge, gusty winds and heavy rain.

Mexico will begin to feel the impacts of Willa late Tuesday morning. The storm is forecast to make landfall south of Mazatlan Tuesday night as a major Category 3 hurricane or higher, potentially bringing life-threatening storm surge and flash floods farther inland.

Some regions of Mexico could see up to 18 inches of rain.

Maybe God is sending a very wet & windy message to the mobs of invaders.

Some say flooding triggers shallow earthquakes.

Maybe so. But they won’t get the message.

Kinda like Pharo’s Army marching into the Red Sea between the waves.

Kinda like Pharo’s Army marching into the Red Sea between the waves.

I thought of the same analogy.

I don't want them drowned though - I just want them to leave our nation alone.

Not too few years ago, that would not have been a "radical" and "extremest" viewpoint.

Just as calling men: men, and women: women, is now considered "hateful."

Hmm, imagine the caravan going through the Florida panhandle or southern Georgia the same week that hurricane Michael went through.

Yeah, I’d say it would slow them down.

Yes and it’s going to be impacting them just at the right spot! If Mexico sustains heavy damage...that caravan IS GOING TO BE STOPPED IN ITS TRACKS.

Mexico had better start digging lots of graves for their guests.

They are not “the caravan-ists.”

They are a mob of alien invaders.

You’re welcome for the correction.

To: I want the USA back

‘The solution is to put them right back on the buses that brought them there, and take them back home.’

Exactly!

And it needs to be done in Mexico, NOT in the USA

Mexico needs to step up.

If they don’t, Trump needs to bill them for all the expenses for every one of these insurgent invaders that reach the USA.

If Mexico won’t pony up, we need to take over a couple of oil fields that the billionaire crooks depend on for their opulent lifestyle.

They should be grateful, we won a war against them some time ago and could have taken the whole country as spoils.

I wish we would have.

Don’t count on the hurricane to do anything. Most hurricanes on this track tend to break up over the central mountains of Mexico.

Just a reality check here, this hurricane will

(a) weaken substantially while crossing the central Mexican mountains

(b) have only moderate impacts at worst on north-east Mexico

(c) have no effect on the weather east of Mexico City

and the caravan could not possibly reach central Mexico for another week, northeast Mexico if that’s where they head next, in two to three weeks.

This hurricane is a non-factor in that regard.

Note also it is supposed to weaken considerably in the 36 hours left to landfall, except for its passage over offshore island Isla Maria Madre which has a population of about one thousand people. That will be near the eye of the hurricane late tonight. The landfall zone depending on exact track could be very sparsely populated too. A small town called Playas Novilero is the currently projected landfall. It’s the only place of any size along a 100-mile stretch north of San Blas which appears to be a bit south of the worst damage potential itself.

The only way this becomes a major impact landfall is if the storm veers north and hits Mazatlan. Then we could be talking about Panama City type damage. But as things stand, Mazatlan will be the Pensacola of this landfall (relative to Michael’s track). So no biggie for them.

Well, “Ike” in the 1990s got 50-60 mph winds in Dayton, OH! Anyone in that would be blown around like a feather.

Yes, true. And this is supposed to go to Tropical Storm by the time it makes the caravan.

But TS's ain't much, and Soros definitely can afford buses to make sure the mob makes it out of the rains.

So, storms aren't much of an obstacle.

HOWEVER

The last grand plan of the Democrats backfired so spectacularly, they may have thrown the House.

This idea of theirs -- make a photo-friendly anti-Trump news event of 'poor little dirty-faced kids getting shot and/or thumped around by the minions of that FASCIST BASTARD TRUMP:" -- is of equally bad planning ability. v If you still have an advisory capacity and can get a message up to the Chief, relay this strategy:

1) If the masses and mobs get too big, even Democrats will balk at the invasion. So they really cannot go that route.

2) So that means that the max the Democrats can reasonably throw at the border is under 10,000.

3) Which means the following measures are reasonable: v

4) Microwave pain trucks. Notice the very bloodless, very press-friendly results: People run away from the trucks.

5) Using satellite surveilance, one can accurately predict the entry point attempt and position those trucks accordingly.

6) For the areas not well-covered, other non-lethal ordnance can be deployed:

7) Sound non-lethal (less press-friendly)

and 8) (cannot find link) Stench weapons that serve as area-denial nonlethals. They make the area too disgusting -- to the point of vomiting -- for a populace to remain.

9) That plus a little creative and quickly deployed fencing should make invasion relatively unpleasant.

10) Finally, and most importantly -- an invasion of this nature, well-handled in a nonlethal manner, may backfire incredibly against the Democrats, as Kavanaugh did.
