Stacey Abrams, the Democrat hoping to make history as the first black governor of Georgia, was asked by CNNs State of the Union on Sunday if she believes the Trump economy has been good for Georgia.
Abrams credited President Barack Obama, not Trump:
I would say that the Obama economy and that Nathan Deal, as governor, have both done a very good job of shepherding our society. But the problem we have is that, while our unemployment rate has fallen, we still are a low-wage state, where you have a lot of folks who are working two or three of those jobs. And Im running for governor because you shouldnt have to work more than one job full-time to make a living. You shouldnt have to fight to get access to health care. We shouldnt have rural hospitals shutting down because of our refusal to expand Medicaid. Im running for governor because I want to be the governor for everyone, not just those who are succeeding in our current economy, but for everyone who needs good education, good jobs, and access to health care.Host Jake Tapper noted that Georgia has not elected a Democrat governor in two decades, and he also told Abrams that she seems to be more progressive than the average Georgian. He asked Abrams why shes a good fit for governor:
Because what Im talking about is progress for all of us, Abrams said. Making certain that your family income and your zip code doesnt determine your education shouldnt just be a progressive value. Its a smart value.

When has the Fraud EVER told the truth about anything?
When one always lies with full support of Big Media, one doesn’t worry about being tripped up by anything.
She’ll be dead from her chicken and waffle eating soon enough.
In a perfect world, no. But this is not a perfect world and never has been. Working two jobs to get by is not a new situation for many people, and certainly isn’t the result of Trump.
So, I guess she’s saying that if the idiots elect her, she won’t be making pancakes anymore.
We shouldnt have rural hospitals shutting down because of our refusal to expand Medicaid.Correct me if Im wrong, but such things happen as a result of Medicaid expansion, yes?
There’s a new outfit, I don’t know the name that is setting up to transport building supplies to jobsites. It’s in the Uber model.
The theory, which I’m certain is correct that the cost to have someone pick up the extra box of nails or two sheets of plywood and get it to your jobsite is cheaper than having the supervisor leave the site and go buy it.
That’s what the Cubans thought.
That's funny. Home Depot and Lowes do that for me right now.
Is that her??? She has issues, alright. Wow.
The difference being the Uber-model won’t pay the drivers, Home Depot will.
Rural GA could make it on less.
This depends on the quality of housing/neighborhood you want.
Blew it against Clinton though by raising taxes.
Stacy Abrams position on voting eligibility brings to mind the following statistics. I recall Georgia being founded as some form of penal colony, but gee, have things changed that much?
Georgia is currently No 1. in the nation for the number of persons under correctional supervision, be it prison, jail, parole, or probation.
The Georgia profile also reports the states prison system housing 53,000 inmates while jails around the state house an additional 43,000. Parolees and probationers total 489,000.
One in 13 adults are under some form of correctional supervision in the State of Georgia.
While not necessarily Georgia citizens, Federal prisons house an additional 5,700 inmates.

The problem is, her voting base is low-info, and what she’s selling sounds good to them.
The only thing that really needs to change is how we qualify people for employment. It shouldn’t matter how a person qualified himself, as long as he could pass all the tests that give society confidence that he can do the job.
That’s why it should be the professional organizations that qualify people and not the educational institutions.
Bull$hit. Some jobs are not worth enough to the employer for the employer to pay enough to buy a $400,000 house.
Communism meant government control of salaries. This is nothing more than a cry for communism.
OK, how about this? Governors get a maximum of $50,000 a year salary. OK with that? NO? then shut up about controlling other peoples’ salaries.
Well, Obama thought so. Obamacare's cost burden forced many employers to cut back their employees' hours to part-time status (under 30 hours per week). Either Obama thought that was fine, or he was too ignorant to realize that was exactly what would happen.
You should work as many jobs as it takes to pay your bills.
I'm definitely going to use that!
