OH is really screwed when it comes to a choice for governor.
If the Pubbies pull off keeping the house and increasing their hold on the Senate in November, the vast majority of them will have President Donald J. Trump to thank. What President in memory has every worked this hard to get people elected during a off Presidential year election? I’ve never seen it done before. This is the hardest working man in America. I find it amazing that he’s 72 and has this much energy.
Renacci has been framed as a crook who made his profits from nursing homes he owns. Odd that none of the opponents brought that up in the primaries. Finally there are some ads reminding voters that Sherrod Brown abused his wife, and it ended up in the courts. The Governor's race? Why the heck isn't DeWine running a better campaign? Keeping it real, Cordray is coming across as a better choice to deal with the very Republican OH legislature. Kasick vetoes every thing they did, so there's no incentive to think a 'pub will be better. Also, Cordray is running a better blend of vicious vs uplifting ads.
JMHO....I suspect President Trump is coming here to save HOR seats. The Renacci and DeWine campaigns have been so bad that 'pubs could conceivably not bother voting. JMHO

Not really sure why this area was chose either. It’s all safe house districts. Maybe trying to drum up support for Governor. Both DeWine and Cordray are wonks and tough to get excited over either of them. Senate is Brown’s to have.

DeWine is up 2 in most polls. OH GOP insiders tell me that’s about right.
Renacci is down 2, according to OH GOP. Most think a Trump visit will put him over the top.
So far, early/absentee voting in OH looking JUST LIKE 2016 when Trump won by 9. An analysis of one county’s “unaffiliated/independent” voters shows when they are allocated by previous voting history, Rs are up 13%.
Rs have a 600,000 registration advantage on paper. But there are a bunch of unaffiliated voters. When these are properly allocated by previous voting history, Rs have a 300,000 advantage with only 2,000 Us unaccounted for. In other words, that 300,000 is a very solid registration advantage.
KaSICK is backing who? Or, is that whom? I digress. I suppose KaSICK won’t be at the rally and will be backing a democRAT!
Hopefully he gets in a few shots at Kasich.
Strange how both this rally for tonight as well as tomorrow night’s rally in Kentucky have disappeared from President Trump’s campaign website.
Looks like the only television coverage for tonight will be OANN, while Fox might still provide time on another Saturday night perhaps with Judge Jeanine moderating.
I hope Ohio voters will elect DeWine as governor...
