This occurred on the 2nd of Oct (while the Oktoberfest was going on). To be honest, Munich cops probably reacted to dozens of episodes of improper drunken male behavior over this two week period. So to say that the Eritrean guy’s situation stood up and made national news? No.
So to say that the Eritrean guy will get some lengthy jail sentence? It’ll be evaluated against the dozens of other guys and what they did, and witness comments.
Having been to Oktoberfest twice in my life, I will just say that a lot of guys come in...get fairly drunk and do stupid things. Because of a increased cop presence and higher security....it’s now more likely that you will be detained and face charges.
Dad should have explained he was simply subduing the migrant until the police arrived to arrest him. Lacking modern police tools like stun guns and tazers, he responded with the tools he had at his disposal, namely his fists.
According to wiki, most of the police forces are at the state level, but the Federal Police are responsible for rail, airports, and ports, along with some other specialized duties.

If the groper were not intoxicated and posed a real threat of physical harm to himself or his daughter, then violence would have been an option. But if he had confronted, detained and notified the management and had them call the Polizei, the perp would likely have been charged and dad would be free to go.
That said, I do not believe I would have done that and probably would have given the drunk bastid a really good tune up. But...I'm a large guy with some skills and a boxing background and a very short fuse. But the right thing to do in such a situation is to not resort to physical violence. Unless circumstances demand it.

Yes! According to the Kalergi Plan, which Frau Merkel signed on to, this mass migration from the Middle East is supposed to lead to white genocide by inter-racial breeding. The hapless immigrant is only carrying out orders. (A bit tongue in cheek at the end, but true none the less).
All of this action takes place in the period of Oktoberfest, and there are dozens of bad behavior male actions documented by the cops, and just not enough free time to sort through ‘who said what’. I would make a bet that at least a dozen sexual assault/misconduct-type charges are drawn daily during the two week fest. Cops take witness reports, write up what they saw, and turn it in. Some city court judge will view this a couple of weeks later, probably dropping charges on the German guy.
This is part of the problem with hanging around Munich in this two-week period. Locals talk about the behavior business, the drunks, and the clean-up required daily. There’s massive security around the fest grounds now and everyone is checked before they enter. It’s not just drunk migrants, but drunk poles, drunk Italians, drunk Australians, drunk Russians, and drunk Americans. There’s probably a full-up schedule for the city judges for next hundred days as they sort through all these episodes. Don’t sit there and think it’s just one single arrest.
The left wants to get rid of our system of local police and sheriffs and replace it with federal police. Having local police is a bulwark against federal tyranny. In training, police (at least in some cases) are asked if they would obey the president if he ordered them to arrest someone. The correct answer is “no”.

There is some “protection” in the fellowship between the local citizens and the local police.
