A Facebook engineer announced his resignation Wednesday, decrying the company culture as one that operates on groupthink, uses appeasement as a PR strategy, and attacks conservative views.
“I’m leaving because I’m burnt out on Facebook, our strategy, our culture, and our product,” Brian Amerige wrote in an internal message to company employees, adding that Facebook’s PR strategy is “appeasement — not morally earned pride and self-defense,” according to Business Insider.
“I care too deeply about our role in supporting free expression and intellectual diversity to even whole-heartedly attempt the product stuff anymore, and that’s how I know it’s time to go,” Amerige also wrote.
Amerige will officially leave the company Friday.

I went mostly Galt in 2011. it’s actually been awesome. I highly recommend it.
I got rid of Google search and replaced it with DuckDuckGo.

FB has chosen to promote *slam and to suppress normal peoples’ thoughts.
Where is the hate heading? Can it be turned around? When there are business leaders so sick they are willing to sacrifice their companies’ economic futures on a political ideology, our country has a major social problem. Let’s hope that good old capitalism will either sober these stupid fools up or rid them from the business world. It all originates from a failed educational system in this country.
His use of “our” tells me he identifies with the company. He is going to have a terrible time adjusting to his new unemployed reality. I hope he finds a new role to attach his identity to quickly. It’s a shame he left as he is exactly what his former company needed.
Damn. He should have stayed and been a saboteur or spy.
Don't leave out YouTube. They've gone off the Progressive rails just as much as the rest of them. There really needs to be an alternative to all of these companies. As they continue to deplatform more and more Conservative and Libertarian voices they create an ever growing market for competition and new startups. We need to keep an eye open for just that and jump on board early when we see it. I'd love to get in on the ground floor of a new FaceBook or Google.

He will. I’m entrenched in the new social media, and there are many new companies being formed where he will find a great new home working for them.
Did you notice that Apple’s CEO has met with Trump on privacy issues. A day of reckoning is coming.
The Big Tech’s abuse personal privacy will be severely curtailed before 2024.
My son follows several libertarian groups on Facebook. He told me yesterday 24 of them were purged. Gone, removed. 23 groups not adhering to the groupthink. These groups had millions of followers.
Google, Twitter and Facebook all have the same left leaning groupthink.

I don’t always understand our rights vs the law, but can’t Trump or rather an attorney general (a real attorney general who fought for the rights of the people). Can’t a company like google be broken up because they have too much power?
Youtube is owned by Google
Google actually owns YouTube unless that has changed.
