Democrats must be secretly delighted, not that they’ll admit it. A couple of GOP Senators fell on Friday for their ruse of seeking an FBI investigation of an assault accusation against Brett Kavanaugh, and now this Supreme Court nomination ordeal will continue for at least another week. Who knows what new dirt against the judge they can throw on the Senate wall?
On Friday the Senate Judiciary Committee approved the Supreme Court nominee in an 11-10 party-line vote, with Arizona Senator Jeff Flake the last convert. That should have sent the nomination to the Senate floor and a vote early next week.
But then Mr. Flake had a crisis of, well, something and said he wanted another FBI investigation before a floor vote. After Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski said she agreed with Mr. Flake, GOP Senate leaders agreed to a one-week FBI probe into current accusations. President Trump obliged and put the FBI on the case again.

The mystery is what new evidence Mr. Flake and Ms. Murkowski expect the FBI to find. The Senate this week heard six hours of public testimony from Judge Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford.
The potential witnesses Ms. Ford has named have given statements under penalty of perjury saying they don’t recall the 1982 party she describes. No corroboration has materialized, leaving Democrats and the media to pick over high-school yearbook entries from 1983. Ms. Ford said Thursday that she is “100%” certain Judge Kavanaugh assaulted her. He told the Senate that he is “100%” certain of his innocence.

If the committee was told Ford was in Delaware they would have sent a car for her to testify on schedule.....the last thing the Democrats wanted.
Too bad committee staff didnt fly to California to depose her.........she wouldn’t have been there.
Any bets that this will expand beyond one week?
The Left will push for that and I foresee the Gang of Four Rinos agreeing to it.
That’s my last hope, that the reason for this is to nail something down about Ford that they already know. It’s a faint hope, though. I mean, what are the odds that the FBI will reveal something that helps Trump?
I think the democrats are looking petty and ridiculous. I’m not talking about people who are into politics but the average American on the street. Most people did stupid things back in high school but they don’t expect to be punished for them 35 years later. Then there’s the question of whether this even happened. I don’t think the rats are winning but the Republicans are on the verge of losing again for being spineless.
Yesterday, Rush said exactly that is the Dems plan with more ‘accusations’ yet to be revealed and waiting in the wings.
There are numerous reports this morning of what a tangled web “Beastly” Ford is woven into. I truly hope the FBI WILL investigate the woman thoroughly and add that information into their report. Once reported, she should be charged accordingly....Ya, like that will happen. She belongs in jail and/or a nut house.

Our “god” will be the “collective”… you are to have no other gods before it! Ask why the biggest pushers of this new “Socialism”… are the BIGGEST mega-capitalists to have ever lived! The Democrats should be very fearful. trump should do a televised interview with Ted Cruz refuting ever detail of CBF’s testimony the night before the election if BK isn’t confirmed soon.
It’s progress that they got this to the floor, so that senile reptile Grassley can’t screw it up any more.
But, it’s not at all clear that McConnell has, or can wrangle, the votes. I’m very concerned that Donnelly and Tester feel confident enough to vote “no”.
Members of Congress may not know much, but they can count votes like a pimp in a whorehouse can count money.
If Tester and Donnelly can get re-elected in six weeks in states that Trump won handily, it means a) that Trump doesn’t have influence, and b) that the people in those states love Trump but hate Republicans.
Does she have a license to practice as a Psychologist in Calif?
