Back in 1982, you either rode your bike someplace or you took the bus there.

If you were too young to get your drivers license.

Could you drive at night in 1982 with a Maryland lerner’s permit?

Early ‘80’s, mopeds were big for the unlicensed.

WHERE WAS HER PURSE?

Would rich kids get a taxi? Of course that would mean she’d have to use the house phone to call one, wait for it and then have her purse with her to pay the fare. But that would leave a trail and she can’t have that. That leaves walking which was too far, riding a bike she’s never mentioned or a mysterious party goer driving her.

Ok, along with girls go nowhere without their girl friends, they also go nowhere without their purses. Where was her purse? Logically, she’d have taken it to the bathroom. Teen girls HAVE to touch up their makeup and brush their hair whenever in the bathroom. Then there’s tampons. They also MUST take their girlfriends with them whenever they go to the bathroom. She didn’t take her bestie Leland nor mention her purse, which should have been with her at the time of the assault. Did she not defend herself with it or did it go flying across the room what with all the jumping around, did she not go back into the bedroom to retrieve it? If she left it and Leland in the living room, why didn’t she go to the living room to retrieve it and take Leland out with her? Just more holes in her story.

A bus would also require money or a token or card for the fare. Again, that would mean there’s a purse somewhere.

I would bet that Ford’s Mother did NOT work and Ford got driven anywhere she wanted to go.

At Holton Arms, “Coach purses were the it-bag to carry, and at lunch, the girls were allowed to sit outside, tanning their legs and drinking Tab.” -
