Storm Surge of Bias: Liberal Media is actually blaming Trump for Hurricane Florence
The Boston Herald ^ | 09-13-2018 | Tom Shattuck

Posted on 09/13/2018 5:15:18 AM PDT by calvincaspian

As if the media hadn’t already covered itself in shame this week by using 9/11 to malign President Trump, it is now using Hurricane Florence as a cudgel with which to beat him.

Yesterday, The Washington Post’s editorial board ran a piece titled, “Another hurricane is about to batter our coast. Trump is complicit.”

Complicit. You read that right. But they weren’t through.

“When it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit,” it read. “He plays down humans’ role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks. It is hard to attribute any single weather event to climate change. But there is no reasonable doubt that humans are priming the Earth’s systems to produce disasters.”

In fact, energy companies will work with states to establish initiatives to cut emissions, and those will likely serve as a guideline for new federal regulations when the next Democratic president and his team of central planners take over the Oval Office.

Comedians, talk show hosts, journalists and now editorial boards have tossed aside all pretext and morphed into hysterical activists, lecturing, hectoring and panicking at every turn.

Tantrums are easy. Conversations are harder but the exchange of ideas benefits a society. Those who look to stifle debate or inspire fear among the masses are complicit in creating the unfortunate fallout.

And with these propaganda-spewing assholes literally blaming Trump for hurricanes, the powers-that-be want to simultaneously shut down any alternative news channels on the internet.

We are heading for either very dark times, or a revolution.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Trump should give credit to Obama; he wants to take credit for everything else Trump.

Exactly... it’s no accident that the attempted shutdown of conservative speech coincides with the increasingly wild-eyed squawking of the left.

Florence was downgraded to Cat 2. Will Trump get credit?

Unfortunately, no.

Obama resurfaced in the news, he'll get credit for that.

when the climate change loons spew this stuff in my presence, that humans are primarily responsible for climate change, i ask them a simple question- if that’s true- why do you keep living? why do you keep contributing to the problem if you believe this?? why haven’t you jumped off a bridge to help the environment??

... but the exchange of ideas benefits a society

You are making a couple of assumptions about the leftists and their "ideas."

  1. the leftists are willing to listen to a viewpoint other than their own
  2. the leftists' ideas aren't complete lies and total garbage
I have no interest in "exchanging ideas" or even wasting my time on some chanting moron who thinks humans (but only humans in the USA) cause the mythical global warming or who wants to "seize" the results of my lifetime of labor and use that to bestow largess on those who are too lazy, stupid or both to work for their own rewards, and to lazy or cowardly to steal on their own.

The only conversation that works on people like that is this

It’s okay. Trump reduced the power of the storm to category two. Thank you Mr. President.

This is just clearing the runway for the sh_t bombers to take off after the storm.

Now that Flo has been downgraded to a Cat 2, many of the turd pilots in the media will be mourning the loss of a useful tragedy. But never fear. They’ll exaggerate the minor ones that do occur and, where that fails, they’ll make them up.

They act like the “Paris Accord” had climate change by the tail, until Trump dropped out...and now that ol’ climate change is going rogue and accelerating the global warming timeline by years and years.

Idiots.

This AM when the reporters were describing how Florence is down to a Cat 2 and may weaken the disappointment was PALPABLE.

The *real* subtext was “OH NOES!!! What if this is a nothingburger like the one that didn’t hit Hawaii last month? We will look FOOLISH for this not being the latest End Of The World!!”

It doesn’t matter. They are going to black out coverage of the hurricane zone just to tell you that Trump never visited the area. Then they will select places to record, like the downtown ghettos, to say that Trump hates you and anyone else affected by the hurricane. TRUMP is pure evil to them, and they will do all in their power to assert that to everyone.

The Democrats are now promising, “Vote for us and the weather will get better.” It used to be only, “Vote for us, and will give you a pile of freebies.”

Question for the The Washington Post’s editorial board. If President Trump did everything demanded of him would hurricane Florence still exist?

Please list everything President Trump could have done that would stop hurricanes from forming?

It would be a short list because first while there is climate change (which normally takes hundreds if not thousands of years)there is nothing humans can do to change the climate.

One volcano in the mid 1800s managed to put enough ash into the air that blocked the sun so it became the year without a summer, but in a very short time the earth managed to clean it self up and humans survived.

Humans have survived over 50,000 years by adapting to the changing climate. I have no doubt that humans will be able to adapt to any future climate change without the government taking over every aspect of our life.

So bugger off those of you on the The Washington Post’s editorial board

They are so incredibly stupid.

Almost every hurricane amounts mostly to a drizzle storm.

It is a very uncommon to rare hurricane that does widespread catastrophic damage with high death tolls, but they foolishly hype every storm to be the end of the world as we know it, so when a dangerous storm does come, no one cares.

13 Sept The Federalist: 7 Attorney General Offices Are Running Private Investigations For A Billionaire
This is the second scheme we have found of donors and elected officials using nonprofits as ‘cutouts’ to provide staff, consultant, PR and legal support for climate-activist officeholders.
By Christopher Horner
The donor is Michael Bloomberg, and his interest is “climate change.” This unprecedented arrangement raises questions not just of state law, but constitutional concerns that no legislature could waive, regardless of the benefactor or his wealth. I detail this scheme in a new report for the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), “Law Enforcement for Rent: How Special Interests Fund Climate Policy through State Attorneys General.”

This paper, and the appendix with emails and attachments obtained under public records laws, detail this mercenary use of law enforcement powers, plainly in reaction to the global warming industry failing to achieve their goals the proper democratic process. Recall that after “cap-and-trade” legislation failed, President Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency responded by claiming it actually had the authority it needed, and pushed regulations instead...

The Supreme Court stayed EPA’s marquee proposed rule in February 2016. By April of that year, AGs had subpoenaed even CEI in the quest to impose a rejected policy agenda through the courts. Disgraced former New York attorney general Eric Schneiderman confessed that this campaign “step[ped] into this breach” left by others’ failure to act. That came in a March 29, 2016 press conference with Al Gore and nearly 20 AGs announcing a whatever-means-necessary campaign to use law enforcement in service of the climate agenda.

After that coalition collapsed under open records productions and subsequent media scrutiny, Bloomberg stepped up to underwrite a new effort to get the band back together...etc
