Despite claims from former FBI director James Comey to the opposite, hundreds of thousands of former-Rep. Anthony Weiner's correspondences were reportedly not examined for potentially classified information as part of the agency's investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server.
Only 3,077 of the nearly 700,000 emails discovered on a laptop Weiner shared with wife and top Clinton staffer Huma Abedin were reviewed, according to a report from RealClearInvestigations. The examination was done during a marathon 12-hour session the day before Comey said Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, should not be recommended for criminal charges.
The search that was completed uncovered additional instances of Clinton transmitting and receiving classified information via her private, unauthorized email account, according to one U.S. law enforcement official.

I remember hearing that the NYPD was so upset by those emails that they threatened to expose them unless something was done. Just another story that got me thinking that something was really going to happen to these evil people.

The Democrats were outraged when Comey announced that he was re-opening the email investigation. And it has been offered by some as proof of Comey’s evenhandedness. The truth is Comey reopened the investigation in order to take control of it. And, true to form, he continued his whitewash of it.
They had the super secret search words to winnow out and identify the most internationally sensitive emails among the 700,000 so they only need review the 3000 that presented a possibility of compromising the nation’s intel system - “yoga”, “birthday gifts” and “send Mook to pick up the newspaper”. There was nothing at all in these most sensitive emails, so the FBI said forget the other 697,000 and conclude she’s in the clear.
I remember, at the time, many people wrote this was nonsense. It was impossible to review hundreds of thousands of documents to quickly.
They were right.

At tbe very least Comey Lied to the FBI and needs to be prosecuted
Once removed from the DOJ, the FIB (oops (FBI) should be held accountable by reviews of one or more Federal Agencies, and Oversight committees hope fully they will not be asleep at the switch),which will do the job of Internal Affairs etc.

Notice they avoid the next logical question. Does the laptop or a copy of those emails still exist? Is anyone looking at them now?

700,000 emails is not sending home stuff to print. It’s not even just a backup of all the e-mails you get in a year unless you get 2,000 emails every day including weekends and holidays, and never delete one. It sounds more to me like Huma was downloading e-mails for a purpose. But we’ll never know I guess because the FBI tainted it all. Surprise surprise surprise.
Would really like to see all the emails leaked. Then watch all the msm, who are likely implicated in colluding with democrats, have a massive meltdown.
I thought it was reported at the time that the NYPD made a copy of the entire Weiner hard drive.
