ury in Paul Manafort financial fraud trial says it's reached a verdict on 8 counts, but remains undecided on 10 others.

The jury in the financial fraud trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort suggested to the judge Tuesday that it was stuck on at least one count in the case.

Jurors asked U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III on their fourth day of deliberations how they should fill out the verdict form if they were unable to reach consensus on a single count, though they did not suggest what charge was at issue. The jury of six men and six women also said it would need a new verdict form.

300 years sounds like fake news. The fact is that Manafort will have a relatively short sentence for tax fraud and should consider himself lucky since he was at the mercy of one of the largest investigations in history.

Just Google Manafort 300 years & you will see all the news outlets reporting 300 years for the 18 counts

Exactly. If you aren’t filling out the ez form, you’ve made a mistake at some point.

So if he was found guilty only on 8 of 18 charges, he will be sentenced to what—135 years? With time off for good behavior he’ll be out in less than 100.

“These are convictions for tax evasion and bank fraud. What justification is there for a pardon?”

Ask Bill Clinton and Eric Holder about the rationale for the Marc Rich pardon.

I am an Enrolled Agent. I have completed the FBAR and 8938 for several clients. Both only report foreign assets.

The tax fraud is probably on the FBAR (Foreign Bank Account Report also called FinCEN) and form 8938 (Statement of Foreign Financial Assets).

FBAR vs 8938 filing requirements:

https://www.irs.gov/businesses/comparison-of-form-8938-and-fbar-requirements

Form 8938 civil and criminal penalties - following link on page 9:

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i8938.pdf

FBAR civil and criminal penalties:

https://www.fincen.gov/sites/default/files/shared/FBAR%20Line%20Item%20Filing%20Instructions.pdf

A person who is required to file an FBAR and fails to properly file may be subject to a civil
penalty not to exceed $10,000 per violation. If there is reasonable cause for the failure and the
balance in the account is properly reported, no penalty will be imposed. A person who willfully
fails to report an account or account identifying information may be subject to a civil monetary
penalty equal to the greater of $100,000 or 50 percent of the balance in the account at the time of
the violation. See 31 U.S.C. section 5321(a)(5). Willful violations may also be subject to criminal
penalties under 31 U.S.C. section 5322(a), 31 U.S.C. section 5322(b), or 18 U.S.C. section 1001.

Not at all unexpected from jurors in Alexandria, VA. Who knows their motivation? It may just be the Democrat Party that motivates them.

Trump has been in denial about the seriousness of the plot against him.

Absolutely true! He rails on Twitter, but his presidential actions do not back up his bark.

Pound sand Sessions was an outstanding Senator.

Shame he went to work for someone who could’t keep his willie in his pants and had such sleazy friends.

Ask Bill Clinton and Eric Holder about the rationale for the Marc Rich pardon.

You ask them. I'm not interested in President Trump following in the footsteps of the likes of Bill Clinton.

Yes fire Jeff Sessions. He can do it by asking for resignation, that’s fine but get rid of him now. This entire mess is on Sessions and his deliberate protection of democrat criminals.
