Isn’t Connecticut one of the few states bucking the trend this year, i.e. going red?

Lamont... Ugh! Not totally unexpected, I suppose. Probably would’ve been better for the Republicans if convicted felon Joe Ganim won though.

Connecticut might get a Trump supporter for the R Gubernatorial race... So far Stepfanowski is leading with 30%. Stepfanowski is a businessman...

I sure hope so, but I wouldn't bet on it. Registered Republicans are far outnumbered by registered 'RATs here. Also, 'RATs are pi**ed off at all things Republican because of Trump, so I have to assume their voters are mobilized.

And probably worst of all: Thousands of Republicans and conservatives have permanently left the state over the past 8 or so years. Overall it's not the 'RATs who are leaving, but those on 'our side'.

I guess incumbent Dem Dan’l Boone, er, Dannel Malloy not running for re election and GOP may have a chance?

Vox: “Despite the state’s heavy liberal lean, voters are deeply displeased with the floundering economic policies of current Gov. Dannel Malloy, and they could take out their frustration on the Democrats running to succeed him.

Malloy took office in 2011 and promised to revitalize the state as it was still recovering from the financial crisis. Two terms later, much of what he pledged has been slow to materialize. Instead, Connecticut continues to face a roughly $2 billion deficit, even after tax hikes pushed through by Malloy and the Democratic-controlled legislature.”

Doubtful. There are too many intellectually deficient self-absorbed academics in Connecticut.

The Tranny wins in VT. That sound you hear is Calvin Coolidge rolling over in his grave.

WOW. We live in CT. The one state in New England my husband and I almost NEVER visit is The People's Republik of Vermont.

Go Joe Markley!

Lamont is going to be the next governor unless the Republicans and independents got out to vote for Stefanowski. The total number of votes for both sides shows a Democratic party killing machine. Sux

Isn’t CT the State that had to hold a special session of their Legislature’s Budget Committee because a Rich Investment Banker Guy decided to move to FL to avoid the outrageous Income Taxes?

One guy moves and $200,000,000 in Tax Money goes Poof!

I think Dems in some blue collar areas (East Hartford for instance) will be looking for someone who will fight. Bob Stepfanowski might make Connecticut business friendly because he wants to eliminate the income tax plus he wants to keep the state toll free.

I think you'll see a surprise in CT with Manny Santos winning the CT-5 congressional district.

Do not count out those who belong to no party. They may not be very happy with the last 8 years.
