Apparently, the other guy is the incumbent governor? Does anyone here know anything about him? I’m just curious as to why Trump wouldn’t back the current governor particularly if he is conservative and a supporter. Perhaps he isn’t and that’s why Kobach ran and Trump supported Kobach. I know Trump likes Kobach, but I would think it would take more than that to endorse against a sitting governor.
Colyer just recently took over when Brownback left to be part of the Trump administration. So really Colyer hasn’t had much time to prove anything but he is conservative as well. I backed Kobach because I believe he is just the better candidate and has worked with our President Trump.

Kobach is very cultural conservative and understands the perio of open borders and the changing complexion of the nation and what that means
The left hates him
He sounds wonderful to me
Had he been a poster here in 2005 he would have been zotted
I know Kris Kobach and worked with him on immigration for almost a decade. He has been the legal guru behind all the major court fights we have had on immigration. He was involved in the several AZ cases that have gone to SCOTUS, Hazelton, Texas, etc.
Kris is one of the most impressive people I have ever met. His educational credentials are impeccable and he has the common touch. When it comes to immigration issues, he is the consensus legal expert. People like Jeff Sessions, Stephen Miller, Lou Barletta, Joe Arpaio, Roy Beck, Mark Krikorian, et. al. respect and admire Kris. Trump has relied on Kris as an advisor on immigration matters.
I pray Kris hangs on. It will be tough in Johnson County. I went to KU.
Brownback was governor but got appointed to something in the Trump administration, then Colyer got appointed by the Kansas republicans who are craven pragmatists, to screw Kobach.
Real conservatives prefer Kobach.
