Does “free trade” mean unilateral or bilateral free trade, in your definition?
You are being more polite than my knee-jerk response last night. Thanks, it is more than I deserve.
I'm old school. I believe in FREE trade. As in, the government has no business in it. If you want to sell MortMan products to a buyer in Slobovia, that is between you & the buyer. If the Slobovian government wants to interfere, that is their problem. If the USA "penalizes" them by taxing your Slobovian returns, they are only hurting you.
NAFTA is NOT "free trade". It is managed trade. AKA socialism.
I'm gonna' get flamed, but the worst "tariffs" are sanctions. They drove the Japs to Pearl Harbor & the Iranian sanctions are senseless & will drive oil prices up way worse than anything OPEC is planning.
Thanks for the nice reply.
