Chicago Tribune ^ | July 5, 2018 | Chris Strohm

Special counsel Robert Mueller is tapping additional Justice Department resources for help with new legal battles as his year-old investigation of Russian interference with the 2016 election continues to expand.

As Mueller pursues his probe, he's making more use of career prosecutors from the offices of U.S. attorneys and from Justice Department headquarters, as well as FBI agents -- a sign that he may be laying the groundwork to hand off parts of his investigation eventually, several current and former U.S. officials said.

This has the hallmark of institutionalizing a permanent deep state prosecution force that will live on long after President Trump retires and will pursue and destroy everyone who opposes the corrupt Uniparty government.

According to this article it appears that Mueller is hiring these additional attorneys to fight the unexpected challenges to his indictments

What is the crime that they are charged with investigating again?

It’s like investigating you for ties to bank robbery even though there is no evidence that a bank was robbed [well it was here. Trump stole the election from the hereditary heir to the throne.]

Mueller ... don’t you wish Ken Starr had had his zeal when there were actual crimes not related to interactions with investigators committed?

Paging Attorney General Sessions. Please pick up the red courtesy phone in the lobby.

Oh, my mistake, he’s not done with his nap yet.

What if “reasonable prosecutors” see the dung heap that Mueller has compiled and realize there is no case?

>>>as he accelerates his investigation into potential collusion.

Garbage article. There’s no statute against “collusion”, so there’s nothing to investigate there.
As for the “tapping more DOJ” people, that’s possibly because those russians are fighting back, manafort is fighting back, and the judge on the flynn case may well dismiss next week.

Nice try Chicago paper, but no one’s buying it.

That may be his biggest reason to offload the cases onto other prosecutors.

>>>I’m told Jeff Sessions is all over this

As a rule, I don’t trust any GOP congresscritter. I never have. But I actually had some faith in Sessions pre-election.
It’s crap like sessions, that explains why I’m jaded, and have trust issues. Because man, was i ever wrong about him.

Same here. Loved Session’s stand on immigration in the U.S. Senate.

He blew up the “gang of 8” immigration bill.

“Ridiculous...this witch hunt needs to end....NOW.”

I’ll bet a dollar to doughnuts, this farce will still be going on when the calendar hits, 20 January 2025. Mueller isn’t about to let go of this “Cash cow”.
