Anna Mae Blessing told cops she had been stewing for days over her son's decision to kick her out and "believed he ruined" her life.

“You ended my life, so I’m taking yours,” Blessing allegedly said during her arrest

my mother would never agree to go to a nursing home. I hope I never confront that situation.

“Or he could have taken care of his mother himself.”

You have no idea until you are in that situation.

“Really easy to SAY...unless you have an elderly parent with dementia that you are taking care of 24/7!”

Thank you. It means no life of your own and living with insanity all the time until you go nuts youself. I’m just about to start having 1 day off a week because it’s just too hard as they decline.]

I’m in the same situation. mom maintains the temperature at 85, year round. Can do next to nothing for herself.

“Trial by a jury of her peers.”

Between naps, bathroom breaks and asking “what did she say?” that would be the longest trial ever.

I hope she wasn’t always this difficult.

I hope he wasn't always so selfish.

May she rot in prison, then hell, for killing her son

May he burn in hell for treating his mother poorly - just to take her house and live there with his girlfriend.

She’s 92, he’s 72. They have a lot of history, of which we know only the last act.

You try taking care of an aggressive, angry person with Alzheimer’s and let us know how it goes.

Advanced age and dementia only make the worst personal attributes more profound.

Someone asked why the son did not take care of her. Those persons are ignorant of what advanced dementia entails if she indeed does have that. Some might be able to do it for some parents but they are rare.

I hope i can successfully die instead of visiting the hell of advanced dementia on my children.

It is brutal and get progressively worse. I wonder if there is actually a part of the former cogent mind trapped in the mess of what was once a mind. Does the trapped soul know what is happening to it?

If she’s put on trial her lawyer should order an evaluation by a top neuropsychiatrist...complete with numerous brain scans.

The usual arrangements transfer ALL the patient’s property to the nursing home in exchange for lifetime care .So son has nothing to gain financially. But maybe peace and quiet plus hope mother is getting proper care.

And those who have no siblings to share the burden of caring for elderly parent with issues often live a frustrating joyless existence.
