Joseph, therefore, was following the law of the land in which he lived; needless to say, unlike countless others who disregard those same laws and subsequently face the penalty.

Such a combination of religion and politics is the next step past everyone’s a Nazi. Then comes the rivers of blood.

The tipoff would have been, "...Stephen Carlsen, dean of Christ Church Cathedral."

Episcopalians.

In fact, I Googled them and found out they're some kind of breakaway, "more progressive" otherkins "in the Episcopal tradition."

Not that there's anything wrong with that!/s

But yeah. Not one word in the Bible says they were lawless border-violators.

I do feel sorry for the kids who get dragged across the rattlesnake-infested desert by their parents, or their narcotraficante coyote, or whoever the adults in the group happen to be, I think that --- dragging kids halfay across a continent to break the law --- constitutes using "human shields," and is child abuse.

But at least PART of the solution has to be disincentivizing this criminal folly, in fact making it impossible.

Build the wall.

Enforce the law.
