It’s safe to say that the left is in full-blown panic mode over the Supreme Court vacancy and have already begun viciously targeting possible Trump pick and U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Amy Coney Barrett over her conservative values, her Catholic faith, and, most of all, her gender.
A Tuesday afternoon CNN Newsroom segment illustrated that with guest and Daily Beast contributing editor Erin Gloria Ryan asserting that, if President Trump selects a woman, they “should be known as the Aunt Lydia of the Supreme Court” in reference to a villain from liberal dystopian show The Handmaid’s Tale. In addition, Ryan argued they shouldn’t be supported by women because they are the anthesis of feminism.
CNN Guest: Any Conservative Female Justice Will Be Known as Aunt Lydia From Handmaids Tale
Do they need a 4th woman liberal judge? OMG it will be like the View on TV every time a case comes up.
As if Christ had no power to jam it right back?
The pitiful crop of Christians today is enough to make Jesus weep.
Or can I put it a different way: the zeitgeist is never going to be the Holy Ghost, and such “tests” prove it.
Any Conservative Justice to the Supreme Court should be known as “Your honor.”
Hey Leftists. Kiss off...
Good stuff, thanks.
Hmmm. There is a bit of calling good evil in your bit about being devout and adopting Haitian orphans. If you can call out a Trojan horse on those grounds, then no one can be nominated that couldn’t be called the same. jmho
Name calling...it is all they got.
I am okay with that. We have President Trump which TRUMPS everything else.
‘...Erin Gloria Ryan asserting that, if President Trump selects a woman, they should be known as the Aunt Lydia of the Supreme Court
does this sentence refer to both Ryan and the putative woman, so as to make the pronoun ‘they’ grammatically workable...?
No, it is very possible that Christ is using the evil world to punish his kingdom for our sins, just as He did to Israel (Isaiah chapter 3, for example). We have allowed this evil to come into our midst and fester. We are, I believe, being disciplined by God.
Also, those affected most by cultural jamming are not Christians, but unbelievers, who have no grounding in the Word to resist such insanity as Alinsky's Rules for Radicals or the twisted teachings of the Church of the Sub-genius. (And joke if you will, but the latter is strong in the tech sector. Every day, I am forced to use a software tool named after the main proposition in that evil religion.)
So you deny that Christ has no power?
On whose account do you object then?
If you find a name impossible to turn back on its evil intender, then you lack or worse, deny the power. There is a reason the Old Testament has got PUNS in the text, especially when dressing down sin.
Try using some sanctified imagination. A victim you NEVER need be.
Also His anger is but for a moment, but His lovingkindness everlasting. The point is to humble a proud society that it knows it can not deal with evil on its own. Once it knows and submits to that truth, grace grows again. The wise Christian sees beyond the punishment. The foolish one fixates on it.
“Because, according to what Ive read, she is a very devout Catholic, yet the contemporary RCC is an extremely liberal denomination.”
The Catholic bishops are pretty out of touch with lay Catholics, and even more so with devout Catholics. IMHO. Of course, I’m Baptist, so what do I know?
Sure, if you like feminist "victim porn."
Anyone on CNN should be called “Pinocchio”.
